"Venezuelan soprano Sofia slipped in, in splendidly soulful isolation, in sleepy-slinky Barnes. Sofia’s charm comes from an ability to engage with her audience with vivacity, a slow waving of the arms or a thumbs-up cheekily pepping things up. This was a two-way process, for the audience, although in their own homes, were there via a livestream chat facility, commenting, praising and importantly requesting numbers. What were requested? Jazz standards, show numbers and some current pieces rubbed shoulders with languid classics sung in French or torrid numbers in her native Spanish. The jazz standards were impressively and beautifully sung. Cole Porter’s 1944 classic, Ev’ry Time We Say Goodbye and Meredith Willson’s 1950 show tune ‘Til There Was You, had just the right balance of poignancy and warmth of these post-war nostalgic gentle pieces. The mood changes, but not the sincerity of the singing, with the traditional folk song, The House of the Rising Sun, retaining the blues feel of a song that became the “first folk rock hit”. Then, we were transported to the late sixties with the Aretha Franklin version of I Say a Little Prayer For You. Her skill in Latin American music was epitomised by the famous bolero, written by Mexican songwriter Consuelo Velázquez, Bésame Mucho. Sofia’s soft but passionate treatment of the lyrics harked back to the dreamy sensuality of the 1940 original. I expect many of her fans were responding by blowing her lots of kisses. Nevertheless, it was not in a Spanish song that Sofia excelled, but in French. Of course, it had to be Edith Piaf’s immortalised song to love, La Vie en Rose. Perfectly rendered, both in words and music, and fervent in its performance, she expressed exactly the powered of infatuated love. Great stuff, and good to see today’s vie en rose. In these straightened times, we all need occasionally to see the world through rose-tinted spectacles. "

"Daniel was outstanding from start to finish. We booked him to perform for 3 hours at a 40th wedding anniversary, immediately he suggested some types of songs that he was good with and asked for as many suggestions as we could think of (of any type of song) and he would do his best to learn them and do a version of them where possible. On the night he came and set up and blew us away from the outset. His voice is Amazing and all of our guests commented that he should be a massive star with a voice like his. He sang for 3 full hours for our party, he took requests, he had banter with us, he never faltered once, he ended the night with drops of Jupiter by Train, I love that song, his version was so much better that I had tears in my eyes! We will certainly booking him again for other occasions as he was just amazing. Thank you Daniel for making the night so special! "

"We booked Jeff for our wedding to surprise our guests on the dance floor and he did a brilliant job! Right from our first conversation with Jeff he was extremely helpful & even helped us choose the best songs. On the night he was superb, everyone loved him & it was clear how talented he really was! Playing all genres, from Greek, English, Asian & Spanish! We would 100% recommended Jeff to anyone planning a wedding party or event. "

"We asked Louis to sing at our wedding reception and to say he did not disapoint would be an understatment. Louis communicated excellently prior to the wedding to ensure his set lists were appropriate for our big day. Something I think worth noting was how he asked if there were any particular songs we wanted included - these were not only included but flowed seemlessly with the rest of Louis' set. Louis was completely professional and laised with our wedding coordinator independantly to ensure he was set up and ready to go for our entrance into the evening reception. From the moment we walked in until the end of Louis' last set, the dance floor was absolutely packed full of different generations having a right old boogie and sing song! Finally, Louis presence was an added bonus, he had some cheeky chat with our guests and entertained some typical requests...."play wonderwall"! I could not recommend Louis enough as a performer - in fact one of wedding guests enjoyed his music so much that he's playing their wedding this month."

"What a fantastic guy and performer. Played for us for the evening session of our wedding at Clovelly, he learnt our first dance song specially for us which was brilliant, gave a fabulous performance (even letting the bride jam with him on some vocals), was professional, turned up on time, set up with no fuss and had us all dancing the night away. He was brilliant at staying in contact prior to the wedding so we had no worries at all prior to the event. We had an amazing day and Grove Cat was a really special part of that. There were professional musicians who were guests at the wedding and they and the rest of our guests all said how fabulous he was. Spoil yourself people and book Groove Cat - he will rock out your event. Total recommendation! "
