Review Centre: Solo Musicians

"Catherine performed for us at our 50th wedding anniversary evening reception at the Grosvenor Hotel in Chester. I'd looked at a number of singers on-line, but Catherine seemed to fit the bill, not only because of her lovely voice and her wide and varied repertoire, but also because the warmth of her personality came through even on-line. We didn't want to be deafened by a disco; Catherine's performance meant that guests could listen, continue chatting, or dance. I had many compliments about Catherine from guests, who thoroughly enjoyed her performance. Guests praised her voice, the repertoire of songs, and her professionalism. She sang our favourite romantic songs, lively numbers, and songs for the children. The period covered was from the 1960s to the present day. I would have no hesitation in recommending Catherine for any event. She is very easy to liase with, an ultimate professional, a lovely personality, and a brilliant singer."

"I hired The Romantics to play at my wedding last year - They were amazing and got everyone (which was a fairly international crowd) on the dancefloor in no time! We picked our songs and they came up with the rest. They were also really friendly and smiley with all of our guests - I highly recommend these guys. "

"Knowing how much I love the saxophone, my family booked Aidan to play at my surprise party! He was amazing, playing solo and effortlessly along with the DJ to my favourite tracks. Everyone loved him and he made the evening extra special. He's also a lovely guy"

"I hired Chris for my 60th Birthday Party and what a great party he helped create. He obviously has a lot experience as he knows how to get the party started so to speak. Wouldn’t hesitate to book him again. In fact I had some work colleagues there and they are looking to book him for our company do later in the year. Julie Barratt"

"From the planning stage through to the big day itself, Glow Band were an amazing part of our wedding celebration. They made it easy and effortless to plan what we wanted and we knew we were in safe, talented hands. As a slightly anxious wedding planner myself, I was calmed by knowing I could rely on them to deliver exactly what we dreamed of. On the day, we experienced some unexpected minor delays in the running of the day - Glow Band adapted instantly to these delays and timing changes and went with the flow. They were ready to start as soon as we needed, always happy to adjust timings where we asked. Having Glow Band perform a unique version of our aisle song was one of the highlights of our wedding day. The connection between Michelle and James meant that they knew how to seamlessly extend and adapt the song under pressure to allow me more time to prepare myself to walk in the bridal procession. Our wedding day then featured an acoustic set as well as an electric set to get the party started in the evening. Every guest enjoyed this part especially as we were all up, singing and dancing to the classic hits. Michelle’s presence and energy on stage is incredible and James’ guitar solos were an exceptional treat for us all. You can instantly tell these two are in their element as soon as you see them on stage together. They were even happy to let my saxophonist bridesmaid join them up on stage to perform together for a few numbers - their flexibility and openness with this meant a lot to me. Overall, we were thrilled to have Glow Band at our wedding: they truly livened up our intimate celebration and brought everyone together! He was an excellent guitarist and made the whole event buzz with an amazing mix of music.. everyone thoroughly enjoyed it and I have had many compliments about his guitar skills and great selection of music. "Sammy sang at our memorial event in honour of our mum who died during lockdown and wasn't able to have a proper send off. She was kind and sensitive and understood exactly what we wanted, creating a lovely set list that set just the right mood, and she read the room really well to give the event a celebratory rather than a somber feeling. By the end she had everyone up dancing and singing, and even stayed later so that my sister could be there for the last dance after having to take a family member home. Sammy has a beautiful voice and accomodated all of our requests so we could have all mum's favourite songs. We had so many people asking where we found her and wanting to book her for their own events! She's a lovely, warm person and she made the day really special. I know my mum would have loved her too. Thanks so much Sammy x"
