"I booked Vernon to play for my 65th birthday party after reading other reviews about him. I have to say that we were not disappointed, he made the party extra special and all my guests enjoyed his music and said what a really nice guy he is. He even backed me when I did a couple of songs myself."

"Out of every part of our wedding the part that got the most feedback was without doubt Pembroke - he was absolutely outstanding. Great songs, amazing talent - everyone loved him. I hired Pembroke to perform as everyone arrived at our reception venue and while people were eating and honestly wish I had booked him for the whole thing - all night people were saying how great he was and the feedback hasn't stopped. Thanks Pembroke - absolutely fantastic! Would highly recommend to anyone having an event - trendy , relevant , brilliant. "

"Nigel played throughtout our day (At Woughton House Hotel), both inside and out. He started for our drinks reception upon arrival, for the wedding breakfast and finally the evening drinks reception too. He even played a duet with me! The music was highly praised throughout (that includes the piano teacher in the audience!), and not only that, Nigel is an extremely kind and professional musician who took the time to get to know us, our music taste and aptly created a set to suit. A huge thank you to Nigel for being part of our special day, and I whole heartedly recommend his services for other weddings."

"Another great evening in the pavilion. The feedback from villagers who had not seen him before was 100% positive. They could not believe that it was only him and not a full band they were listening to, which is what you get. His performances never fail to entertain and get people dancing and singing along. He’s a great musician, he read the crowd fantastically well in terms of song selection and got everybody dancing and singing along right to the end of the night. "Eager to please and delivers! This was Gavin's first gig at The Hightown and, to be fair, a bit of a tricky one. For our St. George's Celebration Night we required an act that could not only please the crowd with an interesting and varied set list, but that could also confidently include some traditional patriotic songs to set the right tone for our themed event. Given Gavin's act is wholly acoustic, this presented something of a challenge, but any fears I had were laid to rest as Mr Clarke delivered his own arrangements of songs like "Land of Hope & Glory" and "There Will Always Be An England" along with an assortment of others that really entered into the flag-waving spirit of things splendidly! Managing to win over the enthusiasm of a crowd more used to a heavy drum beat and driving bass line to get them going is no mean feat and Gavin's skill in putting together and serving up a programme that successfully catered for all our needs, without reproducing songs already done to death, was evidenced by people thoroughly enjoying themselves and taking to the dance floor. It's this ability to deliver that won him two further appreciative bookings with us! With a level of skill in guitar playing that is something to behold, Gavin's excellent vocal performance also deserves high praise, so if you are looking to engage the services of a fine vocalist, a fluent guitarist and a heck of a nice guy with bags of talent, you could do your venue or party a massive service and book Gavin for yourselves. "

"We have stayed in the hotel before and really enjoyed it, and booked a meal this evening for Valentine’s Day celebration. The food was delicious and the service excellent. There was a pianist (Nigel Hammond) playing a variety of music during our meal which was lovely and really added to the ambience..."
