Alexa are a 4 piece female fronted Function Band from the East Midlands with a widely diverse repertoire, spanning all decades, with genres such as Disco/Funk/Soul/Motown and Rock as well as all the classic Pop tunes.
Alexa also offer fantastic Tribute Shows, with their performance dedicated to either the 70’s or the 80’s, complete in full costume! They play the best hits from the decade and can even provide their DJ service tailored to the decade of your choice as well.
The band has been together for over 7 years, playing hundreds of shows all over the UK and abroad and has given them the reputation for being one of the most entertaining shows around. We require a minimum performance space of 12ft by 6ft as well as 2 x 13 amp sockets and parking for 1 sprinter van and 1 car.
Absolutely! We bring our own PA system and lighting rig, suitable for small and large rooms, as well as outdoor performances.
We will ideally need to know which room we will be performing in and if it is on the ground floor or not. We would also need to know if there are any access or parking restrictions. We would also like to know what time we can enter the venue from and what time we would need to be packed up for. Finally, if there is a lockable room on site to store our belongings and get changed in.
Yes! We provide free background music as part of our services or if you prefer more of a DJ feel, we can provide a dedicated DJ service, will take up to 50 requests before the show and will read the crowd during the evening to get the party going!

The best ever has to be performing at Abbey Road Studios! It is such an iconic venue and as huge Beatles fans we were simply blown away!
Wow I think each member of the band would answer this very differently! Weall have our unique music tastes ranging from Jimi Hendrix to Bruno Mars!
We have all been performing for over 20 years in different bands and whilst in Alexa we have performed all over the UK and abroad, doing Corporate parties, Weddings, Holiday Parks, Military Events and more!
We love them all! Big or small, for a few people or in front of thousands!
Yes we can, just ask!
We like to arrive approx 2 hours before the event starts to set up and sound check but we can do this in an hour if essential. Our usual set up is 2 x 45 minutes with a short break in between.
Yes no problem at all as long as it is safe to do so and covered in case of adverse weather.
We find that our tried and tested set list works best, with a few changes here and there depending on the type of event and expected audience. We are more than happy to learn your first dance or perform a favourite song from our repertoire. Feel free to ask though, if it's a song we would likely also perform at other events too we may learn it for you!
We are high energy, interactive with the audience and our set list covers all ages and tastes in music!
