Three-time All-Ireland Fiddle Champion, Dermot has been a leading figure on London’s music scene for over 25 years. His career spans an extraordinary range of styles and settings, blending the precision of orchestral performance with the soul of folk traditions.

Over 16 years, Dermot performed with three of London’s top orchestras, gaining extensive experience in orchestral and operatic music. Alongside this, he developed a strong reputation in commercial, Irish folk, and world music, drawing on influences from diverse cultures to create a truly distinctive sound.

As a renowned folk fiddler, Dermot’s playing can be heard on countless film and television scores, including Ballykissangel, Cold Feet, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Mrs. Brown, and Riverdance (EMI).
