Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

I need a performance space of at least 3 meters x 3 meters, 1 parking space and a safe green room to store belongings.

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

Yes, I bring all my own equipment. Depending on the event, I can perform with or without amplification, and with or without backing tracks. My system is a professional-standard PA system suitable for small to large events.

What information do you require about a venue?

I require information about parking. For accuracy with addresses, I'd prefer to receive a 'what3words' clue.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, I provide background music played during my breaks.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Planning events is a difficult task, and things don't always run smoothly. I can usually accommodate changes with timings, whether they're made beforehand or minor changes made on the day itself. However, it depends on the circumstances, and my rates apply for additional performing time added to the booking.

Do you have different line-up options?

My performances include solo acoustic violin. Depending on the event, I can perform with or without amplification, and with or without backing tracks. My system is a professional-standard PA system suitable for small to large events.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

Particularly fun and high-profile gigs include performing at the BRIT Awards 2025 and at multiple client events for ROLEX. As a classical orchestral player, I have played with the BBC Symphony Orchestra at the Proms and with orchestras such as the English Sinfonietta.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

As a violinist, I particularly admire artists such as James Ehnes, Hilary Hahn, Augustin Hadelich and Shunske Sato.
I also grew up listening to 1970s American Rock and Funk, but I listen to all kinds of artists, from Lady Gaga and Dua Lipa to Sienna Spiro and Sufjan Stevens. There are too many songs and artists to choose from to decide a favourite!

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I am a conservatoire-trained violinist and began playing at weddings with various string quartets whilst still a student, and it went from there!

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

I love playing at all sorts of events, but weddings are my favourite. I really enjoy making a couple's special day unforgettable. There is no mistaking the joyful atmosphere, and the guests are always very appreciative too.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

I usually arrive 45-60 minutes before my allotted performance time to set up and sound check. My performance times usually take place on an hourly basis, with sets lasting 45-50 minutes followed by a 10-15 break.

Are you happy to perform outside?

I'm happy to perform outside but require cover in the event of rain or harsh sun.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

Clients are welcome to pick as many items from my setlist as they like! Special songs that are not on my setlist may be requested, but an admin fee of £20 per song may be applied.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Clients often appreciate my sweet, warm sound and tell me that my performances add something truly special to their day. I love creating a sophisticated, romantic atmosphere without ever feeling overly formal, while bringing their favourite songs to life in a personal and memorable way.
