About / Biography

Experienced West End stage actor, singer, chazan, keyboard player and guitarist, Dan, will sing, swing, pop and rock, uplifting and entertaining, at your Chupah, reception, and party, providing an upbeat, heartfelt transition through the special stages of the day.

He can perform as a solo artist, singing acoustic, soulful songs on guitar, with pre-recorded backing tracks to get a party rockin' and also with various band set-ups, including acoustic duo, jazz trio, pop/rock band, depending on the size and budget of your event.

He has performed at parties, weddings and events for over twenty years and somehow still looks in his twenties too!

One of Dan's favourite nights is the Birthday party package, where together with you, he will write a special song for your occasion and whether it's for a full crowd, buffet style event, or round an intimate dinner table, will make something that extra special to make your event an exciting and memorable one. The dinner party, birthday package is a very successful one, including three songs (2 covers and 1 original written especially for the event), fifteen minutes of music that makes all the difference!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

I have spent my life performing around the world, at the National Theatre, touring America, performing live on Absolute Radio, packing out The Roundhouse in Camden and I really enjoyed one of my recent gigs at Cafe Paris on Regent Street. I love playing weddings, bringing the joy to the day and also special birthday parties and spiritual events.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

The Beatles songwriting and arrangements and Michael Jackson: His iconic pop and dance music have always been a crowd favourite. I am in love with the catalogue of Frank Sinatra and love to play a full hour of his music. Prince’s personality and Michael Jackson’s work ethic have given me the discipline to excel in my field. And of course, the spirit of John Lennon and his desire for change and unity in humanity is of great importance.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I started gigging on the Camden Circuit at the age of 16, in the 90’s and my band went on to win major radio awards… After achieving my degree in Performance Arts I toured the world, performing in musicals and starring in West End shows. Family life influenced me in opting for a musical career in corporate and family events and all my musician chums that I have picked up along the way are still gigging with me to this day.

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

I love playing corporate events as they can be quite diverse and quirky, but weddings are our favourite! The guests are always happy and I love providing the right atmosphere.

Can you perform with and line-up

Yes, I can perform, solo, male/female duo, Jazz Trio, Rock Band, either with live instruments or backing tracks.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

We normally arrive 2 hours before the performance to set up. We normally perform 2 x 45 minutes or 2 x 60 minute sets. We’re happy to play a bit longer or shorter but we’ve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best.

Are you happy to perform outside?

We’re happy to play outside but we ask for shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

We can learn specific songs before the event but we usually limit this to 5 songs. The clients are welcome to pick a set list from our repertoire or let us choose the music for them.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Previous customers would describe us as a high energy group that loves to get the audience on their feet dancing or in our more intimate set up, brings a very special vibe and a certain sense of humour and uplifting energy, to the event.
