There have been several unforgettable performances over the years, making it incredibly difficult to choose just one!
One of our most memorable experiences was performing alongside the King of Bollywood himself, Shah Rukh Khan, at the SilverDome in Zoetermeer, South Holland, Netherlands. Sharing the stage with such an international icon was truly an incredible experience.
Another highlight was performing on a beautiful beach in the Canary Islands, surrounded by breathtaking scenery and an amazing atmosphere.
We’ve also had the privilege of performing alongside various world-renowned artists at prestigious venues and events across the globe.
With over 34 years of experience in the entertainment industry, we’ve been fortunate enough to create countless memories, entertain audiences from all walks of life, and take our passion for dhol music around the world.
For us, every performance is special, but these are certainly some of the moments that have defined The Dhol Unit’s journey!
Our musical influences are incredibly diverse, ranging from traditional Punjabi folk and Bhangra to Bollywood, Qawwali and contemporary world music.
Legendary artists such as Gurdas Maan, Malkit Singh, Daler Mehndi, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and the iconic UK Bhangra bands have all helped shape our appreciation of rhythm, energy and live performance.
It’s difficult to choose just one favourite artist, as each brings something unique to the world of music. However, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan stands out for his extraordinary vocal talent, musical innovation and timeless influence.
As for the greatest song of all time, that’s an almost impossible question! Music is deeply personal, and a truly great song transcends generations, cultures and languages.
For us at The Dhol Unit, it’s not just about the song itself, but the energy, emotion and connection it creates with an audience. Nothing compares to the sound of a powerful dhol beat bringing hundreds of people together on the dance floor!
The Dhol Unit has over 34 years of experience in the music and entertainment industry, performing at weddings, corporate functions, festivals, cultural celebrations and prestigious international events.
Our journey began with a genuine passion for traditional Punjabi dhol, Bhangra music and live entertainment. What started as a love for music and performing gradually developed into a professional entertainment group, taking us from local community celebrations to some incredible stages around the world.
Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of performing alongside internationally renowned artists, including the legendary Shah Rukh Khan at the SilverDome in the Netherlands, as well as entertaining audiences at spectacular destinations across Europe and beyond.
Our experience spans everything from intimate family celebrations to large-scale productions, celebrity events, corporate functions and international festivals.
Our favourite events to perform at are weddings, melas (cultural festivals) and prestigious state events, as each offers a unique atmosphere and experience.
Weddings hold a special place in our hearts. There’s nothing quite like the excitement of a grand entrance, the joy of bringing families together and the incredible energy of a wedding celebration.
Melas and cultural festivals allow us to showcase the rich heritage of Punjabi dhol and Bhangra music to large, diverse audiences. The atmosphere, crowd participation and excitement make these performances truly unforgettable.
State and prestigious ceremonial events are equally rewarding, giving us the honour of representing our musical traditions at distinguished occasions, often in front of international audiences and dignitaries.
Ultimately, wherever there’s an audience ready to celebrate, The Dhol Unit brings the same passion, professionalism and electrifying energy to every performance! 🥁🏆
As a professional dhol entertainment group, The Dhol Unit requires minimal setup time, making our performances flexible and suitable for a wide range of events.

Our clients most commonly describe The Dhol Unit as energetic, electrifying, professional, talented and truly unforgettable!
We’re regularly praised for our infectious energy, powerful dhol beats, vibrant performances and ability to create an incredible atmosphere from the very first beat.

Beyond our musical talent, we’re equally proud of the compliments we receive about our friendliness, professionalism, punctuality and ability to engage with guests of all ages and backgrounds.
