About / Biography

Hi, I'm Emily!

I’m a London-based singer-songwriter with years of live performance experience and nothing makes me happier than bringing music to a room full of people. From intimate gigs in cosy bars to supporting acts like Rag’n’Bone Man and James Arthur on UK tours, I’m equally at home providing laid-back background ambience or leading the energy in a lively event space.

My setlist is a blend of timeless classics and current chart-toppers, with artists ranging from Stevie Wonder and Ben E. King to Ed Sheeran and Sabrina Carpenter. Whether you're after soulful acoustic vibes or a singalong set to get guests involved, I’ll tailor the performance to suit the tone of your event.

I have an ever-growing repertoire of covers and am always happy to add special requests, making your event feel truly personal.

If you’re looking for live music that elevates the atmosphere, subtle or spotlight, please do get in touch. I’d love to be part of your event.

Thanks for reading and have a lovely day ahead!

Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

I require only a small performance space (2 x 2 meters should suffice.) It's preferable for me if the venue/event have an in-house PA system I can plug into, however I would be able to bring my own for an additional cost.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

I performed as the opener for Rag 'n' Bone man at the Hammersmith Apollo in London. It felt like a real bucket list moment for me, will never forget it!

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

I've been massively influenced by the likes of Corinne Bailey Rae, Taylor Swift and Haim. "Put Your Records On" is one of my all time favourite songs to play - always a crowd pleaser. I love playing songs that people take people on a trip down memory lane.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I decided to pursue music properly in my teens, writing my own tunes and playing gigs, eventually moving to London when I was 18 to follow my dreams of being a musician. In the capital, my musical network opened up, I bagged a job on the front desk of the iconic Abbey Road Recording Studios. Inspired by the huge names that passed through the studio, post-shift I would head up to one of the production rooms to record tracks, uploading them to Soundcloud as soon as they were finished - starting to build my reputation.

This led to me releasing music on indie label 37 Adventures under the watchful eye of label boss Nick Worthington (The Streets, Basement Jaxx, Marina and the Diamonds), including my most successful track ‘Is It Just Me?’, which has now racked up over 200 million streams.

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

I love any opportunity to play live music but, providing music for someone's wedding day is always my favourite. It's beautiful to be involved in such a special day in people's lives and I feel grateful every time I'm given the chance.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

I normally arrive 1-2 hours before my performance to sound check. Usually I would provide 2 or 3 x 30 minute sets thereafter. Happy to play longer or shorter if you wish!

Are you happy to perform outside?

Happy to play oustide

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

I'm more than happy to learn specific songs before an event. I do have an extensive repertoire that the client is welcome to pick a set list from but, I'm always happy to throw in a few extra special requests!

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Previous clients often describe me as a dynamic performer who brings soulful energy to every performance and knows how to connect with the crowd - whether it's getting people singing along or creating a relaxed, laid-back vibe.
