We wanted to book a musician to play background music as our guests arrived, drank their bubbly, ate their canapes and mingled and then whilst they were having their starter. We wanted something very classy and my partner's favourite instrument is the cello. Having watched Emily on YouTube, I had no hesitation in booking her and she exceeded our expectations. What a privilege to have such a talented composer/musician play at our function! All the guests enjoyed listening to her playing classical and modern pieces as well as hearing the story of her blue electric cello. Furthermore, Emily is an extremely lovely lady and she made the booking process so easy. Thank you for making my special event even more special.

Emily played for my son's wedding. For the service itself she provided beautifully mellow background music as guests arrived and settled, and then the chosen tunes for the entrance of the bride and departure of the newlyweds, and during the signing of the register. An easy move to the reception hall and then she played for over an hour while guests mingled, enjoying drinks and canapés, before the wedding breakfast. Emily's playing is superb whether playing classical favourites or modern pop classics! She communicated thoughtfully and professionally about the couple's requirements and choice of music, most of which was from her established repertoire, but also included an addition to Emily's long list of pop favourites.
Many guests commented on the beautiful music, but at the same time Emily herself stayed in the background, providing a beautiful musical backdrop to a perfect day.

We booked Emily to play the cello during our Wedding Ceremony and Reception and she was absolutely phenomenal. From the first minute, Emily was so easily to communicate with and happy to be flexible and accommodate our plans.

In our church ceremony, Emily played a beautiful version of a thousand dreams for the Bridal entry which was stunning and Emily later joined us for our drinks reception where she played a vast range of different pieces. Our guests have not stopped commenting on how beautiful her music was and we would certainly recommend Emily for any events!!

Emily was just fantastic. She was booked very last minute and was very accommodating with this approach. It was a surprise for my Dad's 82nd Birthday and it was such a delightful evening. It was an intimate evening, just family and Emily's mastery with her beautiful cello left not many dry eyes in the house. She was just great and my whole family had such a special, memorable and delightful evening. Thanks so very much Emily for making a special birthday , a truly fabulous night to remember.

I am so pleased that I found Emily. She was friendly and professional from our first contact and gave me complete confidence.
Emily not only played her own compositions and traditional cello pieces but also created an arrangement for a specific track at my request, as a surprise for my husband. In addition, Emily prepared a further arrangement at our request, to play alongside our 17 year old son, who accompanied her on the ukulele. Emily and George were only able to run through this piece a couple of times on the day, directly before guests began to arrive and it was wonderful to hear them master it together so quickly. Our guests burst into spontaneous applause after they had played this piece for the recessional!
I cannot recommend Emily highly enough!

Emily played at my sister's memorial service. She was very accommodating in working with the family to play my sister's favourite music. My sister had always loved the cello so it was very fitting for Emily to play at the service. She played beautifully which allowed us time to reflect on my sister's life. Thank you.

Emily was brilliant from start to finish. She helped with the music selection (not being too sure what would be best) alongside agreeing to play a particular piece that we wanted, and it was just perfect for the occasion. Emily was a pleasure to speak with and even more of a pleasure to listen to! Simply beautiful. Thoroughly recommended - and put it this way, everyone was asking for her card so that says it all! I hope to work with her again on a more celebratory event.

Emily’s unique performance was exceptional. She was warm, fun and accommodating and our experience was utterly pleasurable. We were delighted and mesmerised as she transported us into memories.

I travel from Sydney to distant places to tour with my band Fuchsia (fuchsiamusic.com) finding string players wherever I happen to be. When I came to England this year, I found Emily on Last Minute Musicians. The music has some fairly complex arrangements, and is unusual with its own unique psychedelic/folk/rock nuances. Emily was dedicated to getting it right, and she played from the scores provided, playing the parts with flair, style, soul and individuality.
She was a pleasure to work with, fun on stage, and I would recommend her to anyone from any genre of music.
