About / Biography

Hi there

We are Future Looks Good duo, and after 20 years of performing together, we feel confident that we can cater perfectly for your special event, from an intimate wedding ceremony, to a large corporate event or a special birthday celebration.

We can cover a variety of songs from the 50's to the present day, from Mumford and Sons to The Eagles to Craig David to Neil Diamond, catering for all ages, getting everyone up dancing and singing along.

Or maybe it’s a chilled vibe you’d prefer, we can do that too, background music that’s not in your face, allowing people to mingle, but still enough to keep your feet tapping!

Weddings

When it comes to planning a wedding, it can be very stressful and there's a lot to think about and organise. Hopefully, we can help relieve some of that stress, and we can provide music for a ceremony with a specific song for the bride's entrance. A drinks reception or wedding breakfast, with a slightly lower tempo, allowing your guests to mingle. Lastly, in the evening, we can start off with a live performance of that all important special first dance, then we up the tempo and get everyone up on their feet having a good time, and if you're brave enough, we'd love you to perform a track with us too!
Throughout your wedding, we're happy to give announcements e.g the cake cutting, pictures, first dance and we'll provide a IPod playlist in between sets.

Take a look at our set lists, and feel free to let us know which ones you’re not too keen on (no offence taken!), and any specific songs you absolutely love. From there we’ll custom build a set list that’s perfect for you. As a guide, a 45 minute set would be roughly 10-12 songs.

Sometimes just 2 vocals and 1 guitar and a loop pedal are all you need!!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

We’ve been so lucky over the years to play with some big names at some bucket list venues. Sorry here comes some name dropping! We played with Bonnie Tyler at Eurovision in Sweden, with Julian Lennon on the Old Grey Whistle Test, Sharon Corr on the Late Late Show in Dublin, we toured with Peter Andre across the UK playing at the O2 arena and the Royal Albert Hall and even played for Jedward live in the Big Brother house.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

To be honest we’re inspired by most musicians, as we can appreciate everything that has gone into getting them where they are. Some favourites of ours are John Mayer, One Republic and Simon and Garfunkel.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

We met through an advert, then went on to get signed and toured the world, and played alongside some big artists. Through this we were asked to play at a lot of corporate and private events. 20 years on and we’re still very lucky to being doing something we love.

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

We love playing all different events, everyone is different, we get to meet some amazing people and see some beautiful places. It’s always an honour to play someone’s first dance, as we know we’ll always be part of a big moment in their life.
