Grapevines Duo are a Bristol-based Motown duo, offering a variety of tasteful and atmospheric music including Soul, Jazz and R&B classics. Lucy and Toby have both been performing professionally for four years and are able to perform and adapt to a more relaxed setting when necessary. We do require 2 x 13 amp power sockets as well 1 parking space.
Yes, we’re completely self contained. We bring our own PA system to all of our gigs as well as a simple lighting rig.
We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment. We’d also need to be informed if there’s a sound limiter in the venue.
Yes absolutely. Just provide us with a playlist of your choice or we can choose some appropriate music for you event.
Individually and together we have performed at amazing venues such as Armada House, Clevedon Hall, The Galimaufry & The Canteen.
We’re hugely inspired by our Motown favourites such as Marvin Gaye, Stevie wonder, Dianna Ross. Alongside our jazz influences such as Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday & Joe Pass
We started gigging whilst at university and our performances developed from there. Since we started we’ve performed at hundreds of weddings, parties and events across the UK and beyond.
We love playing at all sorts of events but weddings are our favourite! The guests are always happy and it’s easy to get them dancing.
We usually need about 1.5 hours before the performance time to set up and soundcheck. We usually perform 2 x 1hr sets.
We’re happy to play outside but we ask for shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area.
For all weddings, we offer one song outside of our repertoire of your choice, included in the price.
There is a fee of £65 for each song you would like extra, to account for rehearsal times, etc.

Lucy is our ever reliable Lead Vocalist/Saxophone extraordinaire. Expect her come rain or shine!
But additionally, we do have pre-audititioned 'dep' musicians available in case a band member falls ill or is unavailable. Making sure the show can go ahead is everything to us, and so this helps to ensure there will never be a last-minute catastrophe.
If your timings change after booking, just let us know as soon as possible. We'll do our best to accommodate your new schedule, whether it's adjusting our set times or helping with any other logistical details. If the changes affect our availability, we’ll work with you to find the best solution that keeps everything running smoothly.
