If you’re looking for a band that can genuinely get a mixed crowd up and dancing, Hit Society are a solid choice.
We’re a group of professional musicians who’ve spent years playing at weddings, corporate events and parties across the UK and internationally. Between us, we’ve toured and performed with artists like Rag ‘N’ Bone Man, Moscow Drug Club, Elles Bailey, The Reckless Breed and The Carny Villains—so you can expect a tight, high-quality live performance every time.
But more importantly—we know how to read a room.
Our aim is simple:
keep the dancefloor busy and make your night feel effortless.
We play a mix of well-known songs from across the decades—from 50s rock & roll right through to modern indie, soul and pop. It means your guests hear songs they actually know and love, whether they’re 25 or 75.
You’ll hear everything from Johnny Cash, Elvis and The Beatles…
through to Stevie Wonder, Oasis, Kings of Leon, Amy Winehouse and beyond.
No filler—just great songs that work.
We regularly play:
Whether it’s a full-on evening party or something a bit more laid-back, we’ll match the vibe and build things up as the night goes on.
We try to make things as easy as possible for you.
Basically, once we’re set up, you don’t need to worry about the entertainment side of things—we’ve got it covered.
We usually perform:
If you’re not sure what works best, we’re happy to advise based on your schedule.
There are a lot of bands out there. The difference with Hit Society is experience.
We’ve played enough events to know what works, what doesn’t, and how to keep things flowing without it feeling forced or cheesy. No awkward crowd work, no over-the-top wedding clichés—just a really good live band playing great songs properly.
If you want a band that’s reliable, easy to deal with, and actually delivers on the night, drop us a message.

We’re pretty straightforward. We just need access to a standard power supply (usually 2 x 13amp sockets) and a reasonably sized performance area—ideally around 3m x 4m, but we can be flexible depending on the space. Easy access for loading in is always a bonus, especially at wedding venues or marquee setups.
Yes—everything is included. We bring a professional PA system suitable for weddings and parties of various sizes, along with stage lighting to create a proper evening party atmosphere. You don’t need to hire anything separately.
We usually ask for a few key details: access and load-in info, performance space size, power availability, sound limiter details (if any), and timing for setup and live music. If it’s a wedding, we’re also happy to coordinate with your planner or venue directly to keep things smooth.
Absolutely. We provide a playlist DJ service as standard, covering music before, between and after our live sets. We can keep it general or tailor it to your tastes—perfect for weddings and birthday parties where you want the music flowing all night.
Yes—we carry full Public Liability Insurance and all of our equipment is fully PAT tested and regularly maintained. We’re happy to provide certificates to your venue or event planner on request, which is often required for weddings and corporate events.
We’ve worked at a wide range of professional venues, so we’re very used to meeting venue requirements and ensuring everything runs safely and smoothly on the day.
t’s hard to pick just one, but the best gigs are always the ones where the crowd is fully up for it—packed dancefloor, great energy, and everyone singing along. We’ve played everything from festival stages to intimate weddings in the South West, and honestly, a full wedding dancefloor in Somerset or Devon can rival anything.
Our influences are pretty broad—everything from Stevie Wonder, The Beatles and Bob Marley through to Oasis, Kings of Leon and Amy Winehouse. Favourite artist is impossible to agree on between us, but that’s part of what makes the set so varied. As for the greatest song of all time… something like Superstition, Mr Brightside or Don’t Stop Me Now always proves a strong contender when the dancefloor’s full.
We’ve all been playing professionally for years, starting out in local bands and building up to touring, session work and international gigs. Between us, we’ve performed with artists like Rag ‘N’ Bone Man, Moscow Drug Club and Elles Bailey. Hit Society came together from that shared experience, with the aim of creating a proper, high-quality wedding and party band.
Weddings and big birthday parties, without a doubt. There’s something about a full room of people celebrating together that always creates the best atmosphere. When the dancefloor’s full from the first song to the last, that’s what we enjoy most.
We usually allow around 60–90 minutes for setup and soundcheck, depending on access. Our standard performance is either 2 x 60-minute sets or 3 x 40-minute sets, with music played in between to keep things flowing.
Yes, we’re happy to perform outdoors. We just need suitable cover (like a marquee or gazebo) if theres any chance of rain and safe power access to protect the equipment.
We work from a tried-and-tested setlist that we know fills dancefloors, but we’re always happy to take input. If there are particular songs or styles you love (or want to avoid), just let us know. We’re also happy to learn a first dance for weddings with enough notice.
Most clients mention how easy we are to deal with, how full the dancefloor was, and how natural everything felt. We often hear that we struck the right balance—professional but relaxed, high energy without being over the top.
We’ve performed at a wide range of weddings and events across Somerset, Gloucestershire and Devon, including barn venues, country houses, marquees and private estates. We’re used to working with venue teams and suppliers to make sure everything runs smoothly on the day.
