The music can move between sizzling up-tempo swing numbers such as Puttin' on the Ritz or Django Reinhardts 'Belleville' to slow and beautiful tunes such as the theme from 'Carmen' or 'Embraceable You' by George Gershwin.
You can let us know what mood you are looking for at your event and we can then choose from our huge repertoire to suit, or simply let us gauge the mood and do our thing.
Cordes en Bleues is made up of an eclectic group of musicians who come together to share their love of the exciting and dynamic music that is Gypsy Swing!
The line-up is flexible, usually a trio or quartet featuring clarinet, guitar(s) & double bass. At special request, we can expand further to include violin, drums/brushes, accordion, vocals and/or piano!
We also have the advantage of being able to play entirely acoustically allowing performances away from mains power supply.

We are capable of playing completely acoustically allowing performances away from mains power supply.
If power is available we have our own sound amplification. We require chairs without arms or stools for the guitarists.
