Our technical requirements are straightforward. We require a level performance area with access to at least one standard 13-amp power socket close to the performance space.
We provide our own professional PA system, lighting and all necessary sound equipment for the vast majority of events. For larger venues or outdoor performances, additional production can be arranged if required.
We normally require 60–90 minutes to set up and carry out a sound check before guests arrive, along with reasonable access for loading and unloading equipment.
For acoustic performances, such as wedding ceremonies or drinks receptions, no electricity is required.
Yes. We provide a professional PA system and stage lighting for the vast majority of weddings, parties, corporate events and festivals. Our equipment is tailored to suit the size of your venue, ensuring excellent sound quality and a great atmosphere without being overpowering.
All of our electrical equipment is PAT tested, and we carry full Public Liability Insurance for complete peace of mind. For particularly large venues or outdoor events, additional sound and lighting can be arranged if required.
To help us plan your event, we simply ask for the venue address, performance location, access and parking arrangements, and an idea of the performance space available.
It's also helpful to know your event timings, the approximate number of guests, whether the performance will be indoors or outdoors, and if the venue has any sound limiters, noise restrictions or finish times. If there are any specific venue requirements for suppliers, we're always happy to liaise with the venue in advance to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Yes! We can provide a professionally managed DJ service before the performance, during our breaks and after the live music, ensuring there's never a lull in the entertainment.
You're welcome to send us a playlist of your favourite songs, or we can create a mix to suit the atmosphere and your guests. Our DJ service is available as an optional extra and is the perfect way to keep the dance floor busy from the first guest to the last.
For our full band performances, yes. We require access to at least one standard 13-amp power socket close to the performance area to operate our professional PA system and lighting.
For acoustic performances, such as wedding ceremonies or drinks receptions, no electricity is required. We're also happy to perform unplugged outdoors and, if the weather is kind, can even wander among your guests to create a relaxed and interactive musical experience.
We have played at T in the park. 8 times.
Solkd out many big venues in Aberdeen city and shire and travelled to many different countries.
Our influences are from traditional music. From Foster and Allen, to Phil Cunnigham and Aly Bain. Robert Burns has written some of the worlds best music, would have to be Auld Lang Syne, as it's played all over the world at the same time, centuries later.
I began playing accordion aged 15 and left school at 17 with the intention to make it my living. It has been for nearly three decades now.
I love to play in a village hall, it has the best atmosphere and everyone can let go and enjoy themselves.
We normally require around 60–90 minutes to set up and carry out a sound check before guests arrive, depending on the size of the band and the venue.
Our standard evening performance is up to four hours, typically from 8:00 pm until midnight, featuring lively ceilidh sets, a short break during the buffet, and optional professionally managed DJ music to keep the atmosphere flowing throughout the evening.
We also offer ceremony music, drinks reception entertainment and afternoon performances, and we're always happy to tailor our timings to suit your schedule and work closely with your venue to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Absolutely! We love performing outdoors and have played at everything from garden weddings and festival stages to castle grounds and Highland celebrations.
For amplified performances, we simply require a suitable covered performance area with protection from rain, direct sunlight and strong winds, together with access to a standard power supply.
For acoustic performances, such as wedding ceremonies or drinks receptions, no electricity is required. If the weather is kind, we're even happy to wander among your guests while we play, creating a relaxed, interactive atmosphere that's perfect for outdoor celebrations.
If you're planning an outdoor event, we're always happy to discuss the logistics with you and your venue to make sure everything runs smoothly.
Absolutely! Every event is unique, and we encourage our clients to have as much input as they like. If there are particular ceilidh dances, Scottish songs or special requests you'd like included, we'll do our very best to accommodate them.
With over 1,000 weddings and events behind us, we're also happy to use our experience to guide the flow of the evening. We'll read the room, adapt to your guests and choose the dances and music that will keep everyone involved and the dance floor full.
If there's a special song you'd like for your ceremony, drinks reception or another memorable moment, just let us know in advance and we'll be delighted to discuss the options.
Previous clients most often describe our performances as fun, energetic, professional and unforgettable.
We're regularly told that our friendly dance calling puts even complete beginners at ease, while our musicianship and enthusiasm keep the dance floor full all night. Guests often comment on how seamlessly the evening flows, with no awkward pauses, and how we create an atmosphere where everyone—from young children to grandparents—feels involved.
The compliment we hear time and again is, "Our guests are still talking about it years later." That's exactly the kind of lasting memory we aim to create at every event.
We'll travel anywhere for your event, distance is no object! We've performed throughout Scotland, across the UK and internationally, including weddings and events in Italy, Germany, Norway, Spain, Ireland and Latvia.
For venues further afield or overseas, we simply ask that any additional travel, accommodation or transport costs are covered. We'll always discuss and agree these in advance, so there are never any hidden surprises.
