We need a power socket and about 2x3m of floor space (or hard standing with cover if outdoors). A little les for smaller rooms and a little more for bigger spaces.

We have a really good RCF PA suitable for up to 400 people and we can bring additional speakers if needed (eg for big outdoor events). We also have full stage and/or disco lighting which we can bring along and set up on request.

Any unusual directions (e.g. what to put into the satnav), whether there is a sound limiter, if there is parking nearby for equipment load-in.

Yes, we will always provide appropriate music before and in between our sets, or we'd be happy to download a play a spotify playlist you have prepared. We can also keep it running until midnight upon request.

I once sang for the Queen at an event to launch Birmingham's splendid Grand Central Station.

Alison & Ben have been performing separately and together for many years. Alison is an accomplished classical guitarist and jazz singer, and Ben has been performing with his jazz band and as One Man Frank for over twenty years. Although they started out performing jazz and swing, they quickly realised they had a shared love of cheesy party tunes so formed Kitsch-Up!

Because we specialise in songs from the 50s, 60 and 70s we do tend to do a lot of family parties and wedding anniversaries for the older generation - which is great because we love the old songs too!

We normally arrive an hour before the performance to set up, then perform 2 x 45 minutes or 2 x 60 minute sets, but this depends on the needs of the client. We’re always happy to play a bit longer or shorter and to do some encores!

Absolutely! We're always happy for people to choose songs for us to include from our repertoire, or to suggest a special song or two that isn't on there

We are great entertainers who have been in the business many years so we have a really wide repertoire of songs. We can keep everyone on the dancefloor, keep everyone singing along, or provide some lovely acoustic background music - it's up to you!
