Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

Performing at a film awards night in London. It was amazing to entertain film makers, actors, and creatives who inspire through their storytelling. Such an unforgettable night.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

I’ve been influenced by so many artists, but especially the big pop icons who really know how to connect with people — like Beyoncé, Dua Lipa, and Harry Styles. My favourite artist right now has to be Taylor Swift, because her songwriting is unmatched and she constantly reinvents herself. And the greatest song of all time? That’s too tough to answer.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I began my career as a jazz singer and have been performing in that style for over 15 years. As my journey developed, I started incorporating pop songs into my repertoire, which has allowed me to expand my performances. Now, I can be booked for jazz, pop, or a combination of the two, depending on the occasion.

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

We love playing at all sorts of events, but weddings are definitely our favourite! The atmosphere is always so joyful, with guests ready to celebrate and have a great time — which makes it easy to get everyone dancing. Weddings also give me the perfect opportunity to draw on both my jazz and pop repertoire, whether it’s creating a classy, relaxed vibe earlier in the day or bringing the energy up with pop hits for the dance floor.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

We normally perform 2 x 45 minutes or 2 x 60 minute sets. We’re happy to play a bit longer or shorter but we’ve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best.

Are you happy to perform outside?

We’re happy to play outside, as long as a few practical things are in place. We ask for shade, a flat and level surface, and a reliable power supply close to the performance area. Since we bring professional equipment with us, we also need adequate cover in case of rain — even a light shower can cause damage to instruments and sound gear. With those details taken care of, we can focus on delivering the best performance possible

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

The clients are welcome to pick a set list from our repertoire or let us choose the music for them. We are also happy to learn specif c songs but limit this to two per gig.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Previous clients often describe our performances as energetic, polished, and versatile. We’re also frequently praised for being professional, easy to work with, and for tailoring our sets to suit the mood of each event.
