My Girl Friday all met at Leeds College of Music and have been working together professionally since 2006, following graduation from their Jazz degrees. Over the years they have become a close-knit group with diverse musical tastes and a shared passion for what they do.
The band have travelled all over the UK to perform at a variety of functions including hundreds of Weddings, Birthday Parties, Corporate Events, New Year Celebrations, Festivals and Charity Events.

We need a performance space of at least 5 meters x 3 meters. We require 2 x 13 amp power sockets and 3 parking spaces.
Yes, we’re completely self contained. We bring our own PA system to all of our gigs as well as a simple lighting rig.
We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment. We’d also need to be informed if there’s a sound limiter in the venue.
Yes, we’re happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between our sets. We’re happy to choose the music ourselves or let the client choose the music.
Hard to single out one particular gig! In terms of numbers, we played a corporate gig at Liverpool Arena, that was pretty epic. But we have played hundereds of weddings in idyllic locations and played at many sports stadiums, big hotels etc.
Again hard to single out one particular artist, but we most enjoy playing hits from the 80's and 90's.
We have all been gigging together since we left Leeds Music College about 15 years ago! Still going strong after all this time.
Weddings are great, everyone is there to give the bride and groom the best day possible, us included. So getting people up dancing and seeing them make memories is very rewarding for us.
Set up time: 1 hour
Typical performance: 2 x 50-minute sets of live music.
Full PA available from 7pm-midnight (arrival approx 6pm)
Complimentary Virtual DJ (unmanned) and Stage lighting(Client can supply a Spotify playlist if they so wish)
1 x Live Song Requests(not in our repertoire, i.e. a first dance choice)
We’re happy to play outside weather permitting, we ask for a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area.
We give the option for 1 special song to be learnt by the band to play live if required. I.e. First Dance
We can send clients our repertoire list and they can pick a handful of those that they do want played/or vetoed!
Great band, really fun vibe, such good energy! Kept everyone dancing at the wedding. Super mix of throw backs, classics and modern bops. Book them!
An excellent band with a wide variety of songs to perform. They are able to work flexibly and professionally under pressure, and are fast and easy to communicate with. I would highly recommend working with them for any event or occasion if you get the chance!
