We had Nigel play at our wedding ceremony and drinks reception at South Downs Manor and we couldn't have been happier!
I managed to arrange with Nigel to perform a mash up of my now wife's favourite Disney films for her and her bridesmaids to walk down the aisle to and it was incredible. As soon as he started playing I instantly got teary-eyed!
Everything that Nigel played was absolutely perfect. Everyone at our ceremony complemented his playing and everyone loved it. Nigel really made our wedding day perfect!

I couldn’t recommend Nigel more! His repertoire was huge, and still offers the option of learning any song that we needed for our big day….to which he did this for us. Nigel learnt a song for our first dance, and made the moment extra special!!! Hearing a live pianist intimately playing the most beautiful of Melodie’s, in a moment that can never be repeated, just meant the world!!

Nigel offers such a great service for a wedding pianist, and we’d happily enjoy his talent at many other celebratory events in the future, he’s fantastic!!!

My event was a private engagement proposal at a venue which required discretion to keep everything a top secret. I discussed at length with Nigel beforehand what my requirements were and he sent a huge list of songs he could play from memory which really helped me select a playlist to ensure the evening was fun yet intimate! We had discussions of some songs which were fundamental to the evening, such as the entrance/proposal song itself and Nigel was so accommodating to my needs, even when I changed and added songs over the coming weeks from his repertoire. There were some songs not listed which I wanted adding but luckily Nigel admitted he also knew how to play them.
The evening itself ran beautifully, Nigel blended well with the surroundings (not easy to mix roses with a Ferrari F40) but he managed it. Songs were played brilliantly, and he even slipped in a couple of extra songs to suit the mood.
I’d recommend asking him to play The Interstellar Theme by Hans Zimmer :)

Nigel's piano playing was the perfect addition to our wedding day. He played for our ceremony, drinks reception and wedding breakfast. He created such a lovely atmosphere throughout the day. Nigel was super friendly and organised in the lead up to the wedding and happily learnt a few extra songs for us which weren't on his setlist. His version of Castle on the Hill by Ed Sheeran for the bridal procession was absolutely beautiful. Nigel is very experienced, enthusiastic and professional, and managed to keep playing seamlessly and improvise while I had a bit of a mishap before I was due to make my appearance up the aisle. Nigel played at our drinks reception at Dodford Manor on Monday 4th September 2023. We were very impressed with Nigel and enjoy the songs that were played, especially the Disney ones. We received positive feedback from guests and his interaction was brilliant! Nigel was welcoming and accommodating to our needs on the day and we would highly recommend his work.

Nigel is an absolute legend ! This man can turn his hands to anything and any tune, even breaking into tune on our exit song when our song didn’t play through the system he very amazingly knowing what song it was broke into tune and gave us a glorious exit out of the church. Nigel played all afternoon for us, for our welcome drinks and our wedding breakfast and he was incredible, reading the audience and playing the most beautiful selection of music. We couldn’t recommend Nigel enough to anyone considering a lovely pianist at your wedding. Not only is Nigel a very talented pianist he is also a lovely gentleman who pre and during the wedding went above and beyond to help where he could and make everything such an easy booking process.

Our event took place on the 1st September 2023 at Horwood House. Nigel performed at the ceremony. The ceremony went off well and Nigel played beautifully for this special wedding ceremony. The ceremony would not have been the same without him as he added that special touch. Nigel was patient with us in deciding the choice of the songs and was very professional. What a truly outstanding musician Nigel is. I can’t thank Nigel enough for everything that he did for us on our wedding day!

From our initial phone call, Nigel’s friendliness, helpfulness and expertise immediately shone through and I knew that we were in very good hands.

Nigel made the entire process smooth and stress free; providing so much advice and guidance along the way which really helped to shape our day.

Absolutely nothing was too much trouble for Nigel and he really did go the extra mile during the planning process to ensure everything was perfect; from advising us on song choices for parts of the day we weren’t sure about to learning specific versions of the songs that we had requested. I couldn’t be more grateful for all of the time and effort Nigel put into our plans!

The result? Truly beautiful music for every part of our wedding day. Listening to Nigel’s music as I walked down the aisle is a memory that will last for the rest of my life.

Nigel has an incredibly impressive repertoire of music that he can play and he kept our guests thoroughly entertained throughout the whole of our drinks reception. He created a genuinely wonderful atmosphere and so many people commented on how much they were enjoying his music! Lots of guests also commented on how lovely a person Nigel is; something I can wholeheartedly attest to!

Nigel’s piano set up is also absolutely stunning and really fit in with the décor of our venue. He even took the time to ask what colour theme we were using so he could provide matching flowers for his keyboard.

We also asked Nigel to play a piano cover of our first dance and we were so thrilled that he was able to stay to do so. It was a magical moment and another memory that I shall cherish forever.

Nigel possesses an incredible talent and I wholeheartedly recommend that you put your trust in him for your own wedding day because I have absolutely no doubt that you will be as blown away as we were. My only wish now is that I could listen to Nigel all over again!

We had Nigel play the piano for our wedding on 27th August 2023, and he was amazing! Everyone said how beautiful the piano playing was, Justin had the James Bond theme for his entrance and me and my bridesmaids had 'He Sleeps' from Pretty woman which was just gorgeous. Nigel performed at our wedding on Sunday, and we are so pleased we chose him as our pianist. He is so talented and made our day extra special by being a part of it. We had Nigel play for our ceremony at Abbey Hill Golf Centre. Nigel played some Frank Sinatra songs that we requested as guests were being seated, mixed in with a few other songs reading room & making it feel personal to us. All of our chosen songs he played during our ceremony were beautiful, especially the song Nigel took the time to learn for us as our signing of the register. We especially wanted to thank Nigel for playing until every last guest left the room. We had a couple of elderly guests who needed a little extra time and they commented on how lovely it was of him to keep playing and how he made them feel comfortable to take the time that they needed. Nigel was the absolute star of our wedding. A hidden gem. A humble man who is extraordinarily talented. The number of songs he is able to play is unbelievable and even learnt new songs to tailor to our desires.

Where do we begin! From our initial enquiry all the way through to our wedding day, Nigel has been so patient and supportive throughout. We requested a song which wasn’t on his repertoire and he happily learnt the song for us with a fairly short notice! Nigel played during the ceremony and drinks reception at our Huntsmill wedding. We were so excited for Nigel to play and he absolutely did not disappoint. He let us choose some personal songs that be so kindly practiced leading up to the day.

Before the ceremony begun, he played a nursery rhyme to keep our friends little baby happy which we thought was so sweet of him. We had planned to have the reception drinks inside but we were blessed with a beautiful October day and Nigel moved his piano into the garden with no bother at all, it was so beautiful and probably the best part of the day for me. He sounded amazing and took our day to another level, so many of our guests commented on what a nice touch it was having him play.

My only regret was not booking him for the wedding breakfast too. I will definitely recommend his services to any future couples. Thank you so much Nigel, you really made our day feel super special. What a talent!

The wedding was at Chicheley hall and Nigel played 3 songs before, during and after our ceremony. He then played songs whilst we all ate. Whilst we had photos taken. Nigel also entertained ours guests outside in the garden.

Nigel played for us at our wedding Saturday 6th August 2022 after hearing him playing at a wedding fayre. I cannot express in words quite how remarkable Nigel is. Nigel played for our wedding reception, during the drinks and canapé reception and the wedding breakfast. Nigel was incredible! More than we could have ever wished for.

As soon as we arrived in our wedding car (DB6), Nigel started playing Bond music. He also played loads of great songs (including Disney) which got a lot of our guests singing and dancing. We had our gorgeous little cousin with us and Nigel played Baby Shark just for him, tho lots of guests also enjoyed it and did the dance moves!

We met Nigel at a wedding fair a few years ago and as soon as he played the song that I wanted to walk down the aisle too I knew we had to have him perform at our wedding! Nigel was great all the way through the build up to the wedding (including a few covid postponements!!) and on the day he blew everyone away playing during our ceremony and wedding breakfast. No ask was too big! I had a few ideas of what I wanted and he sent over some samples so I could hear what the songs sounded like in piano version. I would highly recommend Nigel! For any one considering booking Nigel for their wedding (or any event really), don’t think, just do it! Nigel has been an absolute pleasure to work with, so quick to reply on emails and so eager to please. There were a couple of songs we asked him to learn for us and boy did he nail it! It made the day so personal and the only downside is that we didn’t get enough time to enjoy the music ourselves. He also set up multiple locations within our venue to be able to play in different areas to fit in with our schedule and it was great to be able to have him play outside in the glorious weather we had at the weekend. We cannot thank Nigel enough and we’re so glad he was a part of our special day.

Nigel played for us when our guests were arriving at Huntsmill Farm. The weather was glorious and he was outside near the coffee van so our guest could have refreshments and listen to him play! He really added to the atmosphere of the day and set the scene for our wedding.

Nigel kindly played at our daughter’s wedding at Blake Hall, Essex - both before/during the ceremony and then during the wedding breakfast. He was excellent but we knew that he would be as he had previously played at another of our daughters’ wedding. A real range of music that met our requirements perfectly - some specifically requested but others from Nigel’s own playlist. Would thoroughly recommend.

Since I was a little girl I'd always dreamed of walking down the aisle to a pianist, but never in my wildest dreams did I imagine they would be as amazing as Nigel. He is genuinely one of the loveliest people I've ever met, and his talent is exceptional. From our very first inquiry, to the reassuring words in his email to me the night before my big day, Nigel was always there with support, advice and professional attentiveness. Due to covid our wedding was postponed, but Nigel learnt and played a special favourite of ours on the original day! This music had special meaning to us and we appreciated the time Nigel took to learn this tune which was out side his original repertoire . On the day of our wedding at Eversholt Hall Nigel’s performance was absolutely fantastic, from reception, to walking down the aisle and the wedding breakfast, it was all perfect. The whole process was thoroughly professional and we would recommend Nigel Hammond to anyone planning their wedding, 10 out of 10 !

What can I say?! If you want an amazing pianist for your wedding or event then hire Nigel! We deliberated for a long time over whether we needed a pianist for our wedding at Warwick House, and looked at dozens of websites before deciding on Nigel. One of the first things that I noticed was his responsiveness and the quality of his work - his attention to detail is second to none, unbeatable. Nigel was willing to learn the songs we wanted, in the way that we wanted them and he did so beautifully throughout the ceremony and the drinks reception. One of the things that set him apart from the others was the lack of sheet music in front of him - he practices and learns those tunes to absolute perfection. I will never ever forget hearing Nigel start to play the opening bars just before my wedding entrance, it was such a special moment made even more special by having beautiful live music. Nigel played at our wedding in October during the ceremony and the drinks reception. We were so happy with our choice and thought it added something special to our day. Nigel was responsive and helpful throughout the planning and played beautifully on the day.

Nigel performed throughout our whole wedding earlier this year, at Easton Grange in Suffolk. We are so glad we came across his work at a local wedding fair, he was so accommodating and offered to learn new songs to play for us as special requests, and even travelled all the way over to Suffolk for us. He played as I walked down the aisle (a beautiful rendition of Disney's 'Happily Ever After' as requested), played more Disney songs whilst we signed the register, and then continued to play throughout the drinks reception and wedding breakfast.
All of our guests were amazed at how he could keep going for so long, and so professionally too, a lot of guests thought it was a recording playing and not live music as it was so perfect.
Fantastic memories as Nigel's talent was captured in our wedding video for us to look back on many times.
It was lovely to have Nigel provide the back ground music to our day, and we all enjoyed listening our for our favourite songs throughout.
In fact, Nigel was TOO good, and whilst he was practising our special song to walk down the aisle to, I was mid-makeup application and started welling up (much to the make up artists dismay, haha). Wouldn't change a thing, and we hope to be able to enjoy his music again in the future.

I had seen Nigel many months earlier at a wedding fair and immediatley decided that he was the one I wanted to play at our event. I just loved his repertoire and it resonated with me. Like many wedding couples, we had to change the date for our wedding more than once and we were so thrilled that Nigel was very easy to get hold of and responded quickly to our requests. Especially with a venue change and then having the complexity of a church service as well as a reception. It was so sweet of Nigel to do a little Facebook video and dedicate a tune for us on what would have been our wedding day and he even put on a wonderful coloured jacket to add extra pizzazz. Such a wonderful and personal touch. To help us choose, Nigel gave us a spreadsheet of his tunes and it made it very easy to tick boxes to choose our favourites. Also, as we were having a church service, Nigel especially learned a hymn that my husband particularly liked. Despite restrictions on the setting up time at the church, Nigel put on a fantastic performance. Beautiful flowers on his piano and a colour themed jacket too. Although we had restrictions on numbers of people, Nigel really made this a special and intimate event. At the reception, we were extremely happy with the wonderful background music Nigel played... it just seemed so effortless as he rolled from one tune to another. We had so many compliments on his playing and professionalism both during and after the event that we felt proud and privilidged to have him as our musician. We cannot recommend Nigel highly enough and we consider him to be the best event pianist in Milton Keynes. We will most definitly consider booking him again should we have a celebration in the future.

Nigel played at our wedding ceremony at Warwick Castle. He was a big part in making our ceremony feel special and personally to us.

He learnt a couple of songs that we requested and it was amazing to hear these played. We also had our cousins sing 'You've got a friend in me' which Nigel learnt in a different key in order to accompany them and we loved swaying along with the song! We also loved leaving the room to "I'm gonna be (500 miles" and all our guests were clapping along in time - it was such a fun moment!

We recently had Nigel play at our wedding at Woughton House. We decided to book Nigel to play all day (Ceremony, Drinks Reception & Wedding breakfast) and were so glad that we did. Nigel added a perfect ambiance to the entire day, he played a fantastic variety of music and even learnt a cover of Time After Time for us. I would highly recommend Nigel for any wedding or party and would not hesitate to book him again.

We heard Nigel playing when we attended a ‘menu tasting’ event at the venue for our daughter’s wedding (Coltsfoot Country Retreat) and were sufficiently impressed to want to book him. Nigel went above and beyond for our stunning wedding in South Farm, Royston. I wanted to prerecord me singing a levellers song but with tweaked lyrics to walk down the aisle and also to sing our first dance-Annie’s Song ,with Nigel playing live. He spent many hours working on it, and giving me great advice. His playing throughout the day was skillful and everyone enjoyed listening to him. He made our day even more magical and I struggle to get over to him how much we appreciated it! Nigel you are a truly gifted and talented piano playing gentleman!

My husband and I hired Nigel to play for our wedding at Woughton House. Nigel played for our ceremony and throughout our wedding dinner. We are kicking ourselves for not having Nigel play for the whole day. The music was incredible ! All of our guests (and ourselves) were wowed by Nigel's talent. Nigel beautifully played the piano at our wedding at Shuttleworth House on 29th August 2021.

He played a lovely composition of music for the arrival of our guests, throughout the wedding ceremony and also wedding breakfast. Nigel is a true gent and was a major part of creating the perfect atmosphere at our wedding through his music and demeanour. He very kindly offered to also learn additional songs to his repertoire which we had requested and played those beautifully.

Thank you just doesn't do this justice. We first spoke to Nigel at a wedding fair in MK pre COVID. We requested to hear a handful of songs and he was happy to play them there and then! We knew at that point he had to book him.

Nigel was very flexible when needing to rearrange due to COVID and he communicated very effectively throughout this time. On our original date Nigel also posted on social media a preview of our wedding song which was a lovely gesture. On the day Nigel played perfectly and seamlessly moving between rooms without being noticed.

He was also very considerate and wanted to check if he was playing too loudly or quietly to ensure everyone was comfortable when sitting for the wedding breakfast. Would highly recommend Nigel for any special day/event. Loved every song he played.

After postponing our wedding from 2020, we decided after seeing Nigel's work to have his wonderful talent for our special day- and we are SO glad we did! I could not recommend Nigel highly enough!

We first booked Nigel pre covid after hearing him play so beautifully at a wedding fair. Finally after 3 dates and a venue change we finally got our day and Nigel was so accommodating and helpful and so understanding when it came to postponing. He even made such a lovely gesture on the date we should had got married the first time round where he uploaded him playing our first dance song and a message to us, it genuinely meant so much!

For our wedding Nigel played for guest arrival, ceremony, wedding breakfast and our first dance and it made the atmosphere perfect! So many of our guest commented on how it made a special touch to the day.

Playing for such a long time throughout the day also included 3 different places to set up and I don’t actually recall seeing him move about or setting up, Nigel was always there ready and playing.

Nigel was an integral part of an extremely emotional memorial service to remember all lives lost during the pandemic called the Candleight4covid memorial event in Milton Keynes on 23rd June 2021.

Nigel played an indoor grand piano at the venue and, as the weather was stunning, he also had his outdoor mobile grand piano which was beautiful. This meant he could follow guests wherever they were congregated. Nigel and his playing were fantastic, as was his choice of music which was tailored both to us and to the audience. Particularly where our photos took slightly longer than expected, we've no doubt that Nigel kept a great atmosphere throughout. Thank you Nigel, you were brilliant!

Nigel has performed at a number of events for us from playing and entertaining our visitors at our Christmas Fairs & Roadshows for a few hundred people to our smaller Memory Cafe meet ups.

In 2020, Nigel continued to support our events as we moved virtually due to Covid-19 - it meant people we support, families and community could still enjoy his beautiful music. A pleasure to work with and our latest event, The Big Give MacIntyre Virtual Christmas Concert has had the most views for any event we have ever shared on YouTube. We look forward to planning our next event with Nigel.

As a COVID wedding we were trying to make the day memorable for the right reasons and Nigel helped us to achieve that by playing a beautiful chilled selection of songs. Nigel’s playing was perfection personified! He played for the arrival of the guests and all through the wedding breakfast only taking a short break during the speeches. He even continued after the agreed time as everyone was enjoying his playing so much and it really lifted the occasion. His choice of music and playing styles fit the mood of the afternoon so well and we had lots of positive feedback from our guests. You rarely hear people applaud “back ground” music but this happened almost after every song played. He added a real sense of sophistication and substance to our wedding.
