We require a suitable performance area of approximately 3m x 2m, access to at least two standard 13-amp power sockets, and reasonable access for loading/unloading equipment. We also require suitable parking for the three performers as close to the venue as reasonably possible.

Yes. Noir Avenuet is fully self-contained and can provide a professional PA system suitable for most weddings and private events. We can also provide simple stage/ambient lighting where required. For larger venues or events with an existing production company, we are happy to work with the venue’s sound and lighting team.

We require the venue address, performance location, access/loading information, parking arrangements and approximate performance space available. Please also let us know whether the venue has a sound limiter, any noise restrictions, an in-house PA system, or specific setup/finish-time requirements.

Yes. Background music can be provided through our PA before and between live sets as standard where required. We can also offer a full professional DJ service as an optional add-on, allowing us to provide entertainment from the daytime live music right through to the evening party.

One of our favourite gigs was a summer wedding in Sussex where we played a relaxed afternoon set outdoors before moving into a more upbeat evening set. The atmosphere was brilliant and it really showed what Noir Avenue does best — adapting the music as the event develops. We especially love characterful country-house venues and intimate wedding spaces where live music can really become part of the atmosphere.

We’re influenced by a wide mix of soul, jazz and pop artists including Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Norah Jones, Amy Winehouse, Jamiroquai and Michael Jackson. We all have different favourites, which helps keep the repertoire varied, but Stevie Wonder is probably one of the biggest shared influences. If we had to choose one all-time classic, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” would be very hard to beat.

Noir Avenue is made up of experienced professional musicians who have spent many years performing at weddings, parties, pubs, restaurants and private events. We originally came together through other live music projects and quickly realised that the combination worked particularly well for more stylish, relaxed events. From there Noir Avenuedeveloped into a versatile trio capable of providing both chilled background music and a more energetic party set later in the evening.

We love weddings and private celebrations most because Noir Avenue can really make use of both sides of the trio — relaxed, stylish music earlier in the day and a more upbeat set once everyone is ready to celebrate.
Drinks receptions and evening wedding entertainment are probably our favourite, especially when we can gradually build the atmosphere as the event develops.

We normally allow around 60–90 minutes to load in, set up and soundcheck before the performance. Our standard booking is usually 2 x 45-minute sets or 2 x 60-minute sets, although timings can be tailored to suit the event.

Yes, we’re very happy to perform outdoors. We just require a flat, dry and weather-protected performance area, access to a suitable power supply and adequate shelter from rain or strong direct sunlight to protect the performers and equipment.

Absolutely. Clients are welcome to highlight favourite songs from our repertoire and let us know the overall atmosphere they’re looking for. We’re also happy to learn a special song for occasions such as a first dance, subject to sufficient notice and suitability for the trio.

Absolutely. We’re happy to learn a special request such as a first dance or another meaningful song, provided we have enough notice and the song works well with the trio’s lineup and style.
