Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

We need power from two, preferably three separate sources. In terms of stage space ideally we need a minimum 4.5m x 2.5m. We ask for load-in access, a room/space to change and go to when we're not playing, and access to food and soft drinks.

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

Yes, we are completely self-contained with a modern PA system suitable for venues of all sizes and a lighting rig for the band and the dance floor. For particularly large venues we may hire bigger PA speakers - this can be discussed at time of booking.

What information do you require about a venue?

We need to know the location of the venue, how to get access to load in and where we can park our cars (usually five of them). We also need to know how big the stage and dance area is, and if there are any sound limiters (which might affect what we can do for the event, depending on their sensitivity).

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, we will play music from Spotify or another app (or even a pre-arranged playlist) before and in between our sets. We can choose the music for you, or play a playlist that you have compiled. For an extra fee, we can provide a DJ.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

A number come to mind! We've played some excellent corporate parties at prestigious London venues, and some really memorable weddings and birthday parties. We often do school Sixth Form Balls and these are always really fun events with a packed, bouncing dance floor! Our most memorable venue was probably Priory Park in Reigate, for the start of the 'Run Reigate' event when we played on an outdoor stage at 8.30 am to a crowd of about 4000.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

We have eclectic tastes - drummer Dave loves his rock, and singer Jolene is a country-music lover (hence her name!). Keyboardist Simon is a huge Billy Joel fan. Our set encompasses all of our loves - probably at the moment our most fun song to play is 'Mr Blue Sky' by ELO - what an absolute classic (and always a floor-filler!).

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

We've been together since the 1990s, which might make you think we are old-timers but actually we are still just as full of energy and have 20+ years of experience gigging together. Some of us work in the music business full time and since we started we've played thousands of gigs right across the UK.

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

We love any event where the guests are up for a party! We pride ourselves on keeping the floor full and satisfying the musical tastes of people of all ages - naturally weddings are where we most often see this happening, but we love playing for birthdays, anniversaries, parties and balls.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

We normally arrive in good time - 90 minutes to two hours before we're due on stage as it takes us a little over an hour to set up and sound check. We're very good at doing this discretely if necessary. At the end, it takes us about an hour to pack down and disappear. We love playing two sets of around an hour each, but we can be flexible depending on what the client wants.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Of course - we love playing outside! It's best if there's a rain alternative, or at least a watertight canopy over us so that we don't electrcute ourselves. There needs to be a safe and appropriate power supply near our performance spot.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

Definitely - if there's a first dance song, for example, just let us know and we will learn it. We have a set list, which is drawn from a wide range of songs that we know, and we can liaise with the client in constructing this or you can just leave it to our judgement and experience. Most clients give us a broad idea of the kind of styles they want, but leave the detail to us. Whatever you want!

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

"An amazing band, the songs sounded like the originals and the singers' voices were wonderful"
"From the very first song there was a fantastic party atmosphere which didn't let up"
"I didn't leave the dance floor all night"
"So friendly, full of energy and easy to work with"
