Oriana & The Charmers are a London-based function band who deliver a mix of classic American jazz, French, latin music and vintage pop. With their vintage classy look, they will transport you from a 20's American speakeasy or a Parisian Café one minute, to the streets of Napoli the next. Sultry female vocals which recall the sounds of Julie London, Edith Piaf and Eva Cassidy interspersed with Oriana's enchanting violin and the band's versatile style.
They're available as a duo, trio or full band for any service including hotels, restaurants, receptions and weddings.
They can also learn your special song for your special day!

We need a power source to plug in our sound system, unless it’s a completely acoustic performance.
We provide our own sound system, please let us know if you prefer background music or other as well as the number of guests so that we can bring the right PA size. We do not provide lighting.
We need to know of any directions that will help us find the venue and place to load in our equipment, and also if there is a carpark. We’d also need to be informed if there’s a sound limiter in the venue, if refreshments and food are provided.
We can play Spotify playlists before and in between sets (we can agree on the music before hand).
We performed in venues such as Wembley Stadium or the Royal Albert Hall, and have such great memories of performing in such legendary buildings!
We are influenced by artists such as Edith Piaf, Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald, Amy Winehouse, the Puppini Sisters. The song 'At last' is definitely one of our favourite songs, so romantic!
We met over 10 years ago while putting a jazz band together and the magic happened straight away! From playing our first gigs on the jazz and cabaret scene to performing for hundreds of weddings, private parties and hotels/restaurants all around the world, it’s been an incredible journey.
We love playing at many different types of of events, but our favourites are the ones where people enjoy dancing and having a good time as it’s always amazing to share a fantastic time together!
Oriana & The Charmers can perform
2 sets of 50 mins, or 3 sets of 40 mins
-solo: with backing tracks
-as a duo: vocals and guitar
-as a trio: vocals, guitar and doublebass
-as a quartet: vocals, guitar, doublebass and drums
-as a full band: vocals, guitar, doublebass, saxophone and drums
Yes we’re happy to play outside as long as we have a power supply nearby and some sort of shelter in case of umpromted rain (which can often happen in England!)
The clients can have a say before the event while we are preparing the setlists. We can share a list of our repertoire if they have favourite songs they want to pick, and can also learn one additional song that’s not listed.
Previous customers would describe our band as charming, with amazing vocals and energy, perfect for a romantic atmosphere or to get people dancing.
Yes of course! We can mix some jazz, French, more modern set as well to suit all the tastes and age ranks at your event!
