Hello! My name is Owen Morton. I am a 25-year-old country singer-songwriter of 8 years with an extensive discography of songs available on all streaming platforms. I was born in Liverpool, where I still live, yet I spend my days travelling up and down the UK playing real and authentic country music - all whilst releasing my own music. My mission is to give the world real country music and to prove that being 'cowboy' ain't where you're from but what's in your heart.
Despite only releasing music for a little over a year, I have seen immense success and traction online. In 2024, I reached 420k Spotify streams, and over 5,000 followers on Instagram, but most importantly have become a prominent name across the niche (but growing) network of UK country musicians.
As a solo entertainer, I use a harmony pedal making my vocals sound wider during big choruses, and a stompbox, which simulates the sound of a kick drum and never fails to get the crowd moving!
If you want to take the experience a step further, I perform many of my gigs as a duo with my good friend Chuck, who plays the pedal steel guitar. Being it a very rare instrument, Chuck and I tend to make a lasting impression on our country-loving audiences by combining the wonder of the steel guitar with my vocals and rootsy acoustic guitar or signature country electric guitar. We LOVE 90s country and so naturally, our covers set delves into that era - however we are very much able to adjust our set to suit your venue entirely.
If budget allows, I have my own 5 piece country band too. Complete with drums, bass, signature country lead guitar and pedal steel, with myself on acoustic guitar and vocals.
I can accommodate for any such venue that requires live music. Weddings, pubs or bars, house parties, etc. You name it; I'll play it!
Yes! I'm used to bringing everything myself and taking all the stress off your hands. All I require is a power source at the venue.
If it appears that I'm unavailable on your desired date, message me as I might be able to shift things around to make it work.

I need a power supply for my PA system if you don't have one already at the venue, and a suitable space for an acoustic performer. More space will of course be needed if you opt for the duo or band gig arrangement.
Sound yes, lighting no.
I need to know any directions that will help me find the venue and find the right place to load in my equipment.
Yes, I can play music through the mixer between sets. I'm happy to let the client choose or decide myself what playlist should be on.
Yes, excluding lighting.
It aint the biggest, but myself and Chuck played London's first Honky Tonk called "Lil Nashville" in Chiswick. It was fantastic to play some real country music to a crowd of 300 at the sold out venue and to see their reaction to our set. They went crazy!!! We also earned the accolade of being the FIRST steel guitar act to ever play in London's FIRST ever honky tonk!!!
Neo-traditional country acts like Cody Johnson, Randall King, Midland and Zach Top are a few of the artists that come to mind when we talk inspirations. Of course, the Mount Rushmore of country heroes for me though would go to Chris Stapleton, George Strait, Brooks& Dunn & Garth Brooks. I can't give you the greatest song of all time because I would be all day, but one that comes to mind is 'The Dance'.
I have been a country singer for 8 years, a session vocalist for 4, and a gigging artist for 2. I started off by doing tonnes of open mic nights, building my confidence and eventually started playing sports bars. Nowadays, I play country nights, honky tonk style bars, festivals, and shows supporting other artists.
I play all sorts of events but my favourite is when I know I am playing for country music fans. They are always quality people!
Yes! I love performing with other musicians and over my time in the industry have built up many connections over the country, meaning I can perform as part of a duo, trio, or full band. Alternatively I am experienced with backing tracks. Whatever your venue requires, I can do.
There sure is. I am experienced with using backing tracks during my performance which, in case you didn't know, are pre-recorded instruments that play along with me as I perform completely on my own with just my vocals and acoustic/electric guitar. They allow me to bring along the sound and energy of a full country band, whilst you only need to pay for me. This can give you the sound and feel of a live band but save you triple, or even quadruple, the money.
I get this all the time! It all started when I discovered a classic country playlist on Spotify when I was 16. It consumed me, and I fell in love with the realness of it, the storytelling, and of course the sound. Since then I haven't been able to get enough of that pedal steel guitar, twangy telecaster and that southern accent.
I normally arrive 2 hours before the performance to set up and do a sound check if an engineer is on hand. I normally perform 2 x 45 minutes. I'm happy to play a bit longer or shorter, but I've found that these set times suit us and our audiences best.
Yes, as long as there is shade and a power supply close to the stage.
It depends, if I am requested a song I know during, I can happily accommodate. Otherwise I have a set list that is made in advance of the event.
The most common thing people tell me is that I am "Ed Sheeran, but country"
Yes, I can take as many requests as you want up to a week in advance of your booking. However, I can't guarantee that I can accommodate every request given to me on the day during the show (I'm a human, not a jukebox!)
