Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

We ideally require a performance space of at least 5m wide × 3m deep to accommodate our four-piece band, including a full drum kit, amplifiers and equipment. We also require access to at least 2 standard 13-amp power sockets near the performance area, and nearby parking for loading and unloading equipment. We can be flexible with smaller spaces, so please get in touch to discuss your venue!

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

Yes, we’re completely self contained. We bring our own PA system to all of our gigs as well as a simple lighting rig.

What information do you require about a venue?

We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment. We’d also need to be informed if there’s a sound limiter in the venue.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, absolutely. We also offer a Spotify DJ service for after our set for an additional fee.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

For us, the best gigs are the ones where the whole room gets involved! There's nothing quite like a packed dancefloor singing along to Blink-182, Green Day and Sum 41. We love bringing that nostalgic pop-punk energy to weddings and parties, and turning a celebration into a proper gig!

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

The band members have been performing together in various bands and musical projects for over 12 years! With plenty of experience playing weddings, parties and live events, we decided to combine our love of pop-punk with our passion for entertaining crowds. The result is Pop Goes The Punk – bringing the biggest pop-punk anthems to dancefloors everywhere!

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

We love playing weddings and parties, especially when the crowd is up for a good singalong! There's nothing better than seeing a packed dancefloor belting out their favourite pop-punk anthems. We also love playing dedicated pop-punk nights, where we can really embrace the nostalgia and bring the energy of a live rock gig!

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

We typically arrive around 2 hours before our first performance to allow plenty of time for unloading, setting up and soundchecking. Our standard performance is 2 x 60-minute sets, with a break in between. We're also happy to accommodate different set lengths and timings to suit your event, so just let us know what works best for you!

Are you happy to perform outside?

We're more than happy to perform outdoors, provided the weather conditions are suitable! We require a flat, level performance area with access to a nearby power supply. If there's a risk of rain, we'll need adequate weatherproof cover or a suitable indoor space where we can quickly move our equipment to keep everything safe and dry.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

We're more than happy for clients to have a say in our setlist! You're welcome to choose your favourites from our existing repertoire, or leave it to us to put together a great mix of pop-punk anthems. We also include one bespoke song request in our standard fee, which we'll learn especially for your event! Additional song requests can be accommodated for an extra charge, subject to availability and suitability for the band.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Our performances are all about bringing the energy and excitement of a proper live rock gig to weddings, parties and events! With big singalongs, nostalgic pop-punk anthems and plenty of energy, we aim to make every event feel like your very own pop-punk concert, rather than just another function band performance!
