Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

We are playing to no.1 theatres all around UK. Most recently at His Majesty's Theatre in London's West End. Playing with Soul Brothers Syndicate and Darrell Smith on a UK tour. The shows are a sell out and the audience are up dancing the night away! Standing ovations from such amazing audiences. It is a real privilege and we are enjoying every gig we do.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

We love performing the Bridgerton music that we have. We also love incorporating the classical Bridgerton pieces into our set by Mozart and Haydn. We also love to play our jazz pieces of the 1930's and 1940's. We have such a huge variety of songs of all different genres. We love to do requests to suit all ages and tastes.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

Sarah trained in music school and at St John's University in York. Studied with Herbert Whone on the violin. Played in orchestras throughout her career. Also performed in many shows as an actor musician during her acting career before starting a family. Met her fellow musicians in the various orchestras in and around Staffordshire and formed Quartet Cabaret. The quaret has been together playing for over 15 years and have performed at hundreds of weddings and parties and events across the UK. Sarah also plays as a solo artist for weddings and special events

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

We are really enjoying playing for the shows with Soul Brothers Syndicate and Darrell Smith playing Northern Soul Music, however, we equally enjoy playing for weddings. We love performing and making the happy couple's day truly unique and memorable. It is always a joy to offer something special for the guests to enjoy.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

We are ready in 30 minutes but we will always arrive early ready to play!

Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes, providing we have shade and the ground is level and flat. We do not need a power supply but 4 armless chairs.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

The Client is able to choose the whole repertoire for the event. We can play special requests. However, they may like to leave the choosing up to us and we find out what sort of music they would like to listen to and what their guests might enjoy. Then we tailor a set list to accommodate all specific tastes in music.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

They often say "that was really beautiful" and we are very proud and happy to hear that!
