Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

Plug socket to plug in PA
Parking/loading space

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

Yes, I bring our own PA sound system to all of our gigs.
We do not supply lighting.

What information do you require about a venue?

I need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment. We’d also need to be informed if there’s any parking available at the venue.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, I'm happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between our sets. We’re happy to choose the music ourselves or let the client choose the music.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

I performed on the Royal Scotsman Train which travelled through the Scottish Highlands as I sang to guests in their lounge after dinner. It was such a wonderful experience with stunning views through the mountains and a beautiful setting in their vintage train carriage with a cheese board - and I absolutely love cheese. I am now a resident vocalist and looking forward to returning for a full season in 2025.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

My influences all come from singers who sing from the soul and have a wonderful love story to tell - Tina Turner, Adele, Carol King, Alicia Keys, George Michael, Whitney Houston... I could go on forever actually... They all have a bit of theatrical essence to them and I like that as well.

It's really hard for me to pick one song but I absolutely love 'Natural Woman' - full of soul and it's an absolute classic!

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

Initially I grew up travelling in the circus with my family. I then went onto train in Musical Theatre and began performing in shows and session singing for artists on the side. I really enjoy being myself when I sing and getting to know my clients and my audience. I've been performing internationally my whole life and now having cruise ships, solo cabarets, weddings and corporate events as part of my regular clients I'm so happy to have diverse and fun career. I love that every day is different.

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

I love singing at all sorts of events but wedding ceremonies have to be my absolute favourite type of event - this moment is so important to the couple as well as the family - it's a powerful memory and I just love watching people get married and help create special moments that will last forever.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

I'd normally arrive 60-90 minutes before the performance to set up all pre-discussed and depending on the type of event. My standard set times are usually 2 x 45 minute sets for most events. At Wedding Ceremonies I'd usually sing for Bridal/Groom March, Signing of the Register and Couple's Exit. During a drinks reception or Wedding Breakfast I usually sing 60/70 minutes straight through or 2 x 45 minute sets. Every event is individual and we can discuss how to make it work around what your plans are on the day.

Are you happy to perform outside?

I love to perform outside, ideally under some sort of shelter or shade depending on how long the performance time is. A flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area would be ideal.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

I can learn specific songs before the event but I usually limit this to 2 songs for wedding ceremonies. All clients are welcome to pick a set list from my repertoire or let me choose the music for them. I like to ask which artists you'd love to hear and ones you'd really not like to hear to gain a good understanding of what you're looking for.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Previous customers would describe me as personable, warm with fun interactions with an impressive voice and memorable performance. I'm proud of the feedback I get from my clients because it is crucial to me that you get what you're looking for and to a high standard.
