We started working together in July 2022. Azu, a singer who has previously supported UK R&B and Soul singers Lemar and Gabrielle, was initially looking for a guitarist to perform at a wedding gig with him. The success of this performance led us to decide to start a project together. We have played at various events, including weddings, birthday parties, and bars in London and nearby areas. Our main music genres are Motown, R&B, and Soul, but we're also open to song requests in other styles. We enjoy performing songs originally sung by powerful female singers like Whitney Houston and Gloria Gaynor, which is something that our clients may not expect. We can perform as a trio or a four-piece band. We can add a saxophonist, bassist, drummer, or additional vocalist. Our previous clients were impressed with how we could read the room and customise the setlist according to the vibes. We love interacting with our audience and adding energy and good vibes to our performances. Our duo is perfect for wedding meals or welcoming drinks, but we can also get your guests up and dancing. We have also played some live shows for Azu's original music at Green Note in Camden, St Pancras Old Church in King's Cross, Glasshouse in Newcastle and City Varieties in Leeds. Some notable venues we have performed in include The Hoxton Hotel, The Barbican Conservatory, and The Hackney Coffee Company. All the videos you see on our profile are not lip-synched or pre-recorded beforehand; we like to keep things real so that you know what to expect 😉

We need enough space to perform and access at least one power socket. We are willing to perform outside if required, but not in rainy or very windy conditions.
We are completely self-contained and bring our own PA system to all our gigs. However, we can also use the PA system supplied by the venue.
We need to know the directions to find the venue and the appropriate location to load our equipment. Additionally, please inform us if there is a sound limiter at the venue.
Absolutely. This is a popular request, and we offer this service for free. We usually prepare a Spotify playlist for your event; otherwise, send us a link. We don't provide DJ service after our performance.
Yes, our equipment is included in your quote.
We are happy to discuss the possibility of providing our PA for a custom fee after our performance. However, this depends on the location of your event. Typically, we can offer our speakers for up to an hour after our performance if your event is in London or the surrounding areas.
We treat every gig the same, regardless of the number of people attending. However, one of the most enjoyable performances was at a wedding where it suddenly started to rain heavily. The marquee began to flood, and all the guests had to move indoors. We seized this opportunity to entertain them with an improvised jam, and soon everyone was dancing and having a great time. Sometimes, when things go wrong, those days become the most memorable!
We are influenced by artists such as Luther Vandross, Tina Turner, Al Green, Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder.
We met up at a wedding gig and from there we decided to start a project, as they say, the rest is history :)
Since we started, we’ve performed at weddings, parties and events across the UK.
We are delighted to perform at various events; however, we especially enjoy seeing guests dancing and having a great time at weddings and birthday parties.
Our available line-up includes guitar and vocals. We can add a band member for a revised fee if you are interested. We can also perform as a trio, featuring a saxophonist, a female vocalist or a percussionist. If you require an extra band member, please let us know at least two weeks in advance. We would be happy to discuss which line-up option works best for your event ahead of time.
Yes, it will be the same singer. We will inform you if the singer becomes unavailable. We have pre-auditioned substitute musicians ready in case any band member is unable to perform. You can be confident that all our musicians are of a very high standard.
We normally arrive around 1 hour before the performance to set up. We normally perform 2 x 45 minutes or 1 x 60-minute sets. We’re happy to play a bit longer or shorter, but we’ve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best.
We are happy to play outside if the weather is nice, but we request a power supply near the performance area.
If you would like us to learn a song that is not included in our song list, please let us know at least one month in advance. We are happy to learn up to three songs. The final decision on which song to perform will be made by the singer. Clients can either select a set list from our repertoire or allow us to choose the music for them.
Previous clients describe us as a dynamic duo who can read the room and adapt to the event's vibes.
We strive to be flexible to help ensure your event runs smoothly. If your schedule changes slightly before the event, simply inform us. We understand that events often run behind schedule.
