Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

A large enough performance space to accommodate a keyboard, upright bass and trumpet player as well as parking spaces if we're driving.

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

We are able to bring all our own equipment regarding amplification. We will just need access to a nearby power source.

What information do you require about a venue?

We will need any directions that will help us find the venue and the right places to load in and store our equipment.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

We're happy to provide music in between our sets which we can choose ourselves or we can let the client choose the music.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

My trio has performed regularly at the Tate Modern restaurant as well as multiple corporate events in various Livery Halls.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

We love the bebop improvisation of Dizzie Gillepsie as well as the cool, modal playing of Miles Davis. We also enjoy playing the music of Stevie Wonder including songs such as 'Isn't She Lovely' and 'I Wish'.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

We began working together and gigging while we were studying at Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Royal Academy of Music. Since then we have performed regularly at jazz venues and functions together.

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

We love to play at all sorts of events but weddings are our favourite! The guests always enjoy jazz as an addition to the party atmosphere.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

We normally arrive 90mins before the performance to set up and sound check. Our regular times are 2x 45min or 2x 1hr sets. More sets can be negotiated but we've found these times suit us best.

Are you happy to perform outside?

We are very happy to perform outside as long as there is a power source and a flat, level surface.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

We are happy to learn specific songs for clients before the event as long as we are are given sufficient time to learn them.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Previous customers would describe us as a sophisticated, classy edition to any wedding, function or event.
