The Antlers are Henry, on guitar and vocals, and Ciara, on vocals, bodhran (Irish hand drum), and whistle. We are passionate about finding well-known songs, putting our own twist on them, and sharing them with people who love music. In our repertoire, you'll find anything from modern pop songs from Lady Gaga to old hits from the Ronettes and the Ink Spots. We focus on adding tight harmonies and nice instrumentals, and we very much enjoy what we do.

We need a performance space of at least 1.6m x 1.5m. We also require 2 mains electricity sockets, unless our clients wish us to perform acoustically.
We can provide our own amplification if needed. We don't usually perform at high volumes. We do not provide lighting equipment.
We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment. We’d also need to be informed if there’s a sound limiter in the venue.
Yes, we’re happy to play music from Spotify before, after, and between our sets. We’re happy to choose the music ourselves or let the client choose the music, in which case we would require a playlist in advance.
In June 2025, we were asked to play at a festival in Roden, Holland. The energy from the crowd was fantastic, the setting was beautiful, and the fellow musicians were wonderful to get to know. We had a blast.
We've also played at a number of charity events which are very enjoyable, and playing at a Christmas lighting ceremony was also very special.
For both of us, Paul Simon's Graceland is one of our favourite albums. We also both enjoy Tori Amos, Kate Bush, Pearl Jam, and the Beatles.
We have both had experience of gigging in the UK and the rest of western Europe. Since we started gigging together in Edinburgh and the surrounding area, we have played pub gigs, sessions, festivals, and functions/parties.
You really can't beat playing at weddings, but corporate events are also very enjoyable as they are normally well-organised. Any event that gets us out to new locations is always welcome.
We normally arrive 1.5 hours before the performance to set up. We normally perform 2 x 50 minutes or 3 x 50 minute sets. We’re happy to play a bit longer or shorter but we’ve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best.
Yes, we are happy to perform outside but we ask for shade, a flat level surface, and a power supply close to the performance area (unless the client wants unamplified performance). Overhead shelter is required if it is raining for the safety of our equipment and everyone at the event.
We can learn specific songs for any event if given advance warning but most of our set is the songs and tunes which we feel best fits our style. We typically do cover songs, however we also perform in a folk group under a different name, so we can also introduce a vaste number of folk songs if required. Please contact us and we can discuss it.
We generally have people come up to us after our performance to compliment our choice of songs and to talk to us about the music that they love. When we meet tourists, they often tell us how happy they were to encounter us.
