Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

We only need a few armless chairs and a well-lit, sheltered area that provides protection from the
elements (including sun and rain) if performing outdoors. A covered space of around 9m2
is ideal; for example, two weighted parasols usually offer sufficient coverage.

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

No.

What information do you require about a venue?

We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment. Parking specifications are also helpful. know in advance.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, we’re happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between our sets. We’re happy to choose the music ourselves or let the client choose the music

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever played at?

One of our most memorable performances was at Union Chapel, London, where we performed live string music in its stunning acoustic setting. The atmosphere of the venue and the connection with the audience made it an unforgettable experience for us as an ensemble.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

We’re influenced by a wide range of music, from classical composers such as Bach and Debussy to film music and contemporary arrangements. We also love performing jazz and swing-inspired repertoire, drawing inspiration from artists like Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, and Duke Ellington. Our favourite pieces are those that translate beautifully to strings, and Auld Lang Syne remains one of the most timeless melodies ever written.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

We began performing together as professional string players and naturally moved into live events as our ensemble developed. Alongside performances, we also have experience in session work, recording projects, and concerts with a wide range of other artists. Since then, we’ve performed at private events, corporate functions, weddings, and studio sessions, providing elegant live music tailored to each occasion.

What's your favourite type of event to play at?

We enjoy performing at a wide range of occasions - from concerts and corporate functions to private events and weddings. Each performance is unique, and we love creating a beautiful, memorable atmosphere tailored to the setting.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

We arrive 1–2 hours before your event to set up and ensure everything sounds perfect. Whether it’s a concert, wedding, private party, corporate function, or studio session, we tailor each performance to suit the atmosphere. Our sets typically run 2–3 x 45–60 minutes, but we’re always happy to adapt timings so the music flows beautifully with your event.
For outdoor performances, a flat, sheltered area with a few chairs is ideal, and we’re happy to provide guidance for larger spaces.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Absolutely! All we need is a level, sheltered space with protection from sun or rain, and a few armless chairs. For larger events, we can arrange subtle amplification to ensure every note reaches your guests. We’ve performed outdoors at concerts, private events, corporate functions, and weddings, always creating a magical atmosphere that enchants every listener.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

Yes! We delight in customising our repertoire for your event.
Our music spans classical, jazz, swing, contemporary, and film music arrangements, and we can usually learn additional pieces to make your day truly unique.
Clients are welcome to select songs from our repertoire, or let us curate a tailored setlist that perfectly suits the mood of your concert, wedding, private event, corporate function, or studio session.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Previous clients describe our performances as sophisticated, elegant, and professional, creating a memorable and enchanting atmosphere. Guests often highlight how we are friendly, approachable, and easy to work with, and how the music transforms the mood of the event. Whether for concerts, weddings, private events, corporate functions, or studio sessions, we aim to make every performance seamless, captivating, and unforgettable.
