Review Centre: Solo Musicians

"On 5 August 2015, Anthony Rudd came to play for my wedding at St Andrews, Bothal. Needless to say, his performance was perfect. St Andrews is a wonderfully renovated medieval church that once belonged to the castle and estate next door. The pristine church organ is small, manufactured in the late 19th century. It takes some skills to make that organ sound for the pieces that we had chosen, among them Bach and Widor. Anthony came to try out the organ two months before the date, so we had a chance to go over the repertoire and choose a range of pieces that might be suitable for both, the event and the organ. In short, his playing had a significant impact on the service and made the event to what it was, a powerful and exciting celebration of our entry into a new stage of our lives. Thanks so much! "

"Toby was amazing! He learned a couple of personal songs for us, which perfectly suited our intimate venue. Easy-going and great to work with, he received so many compliments from our guests and made our ceremony unforgettable. I can't really put into words how amazing it was but the music just went perfectly with the whole vibe of ceremony and it was honestly so magical in the room. Thank you again for everything!"

"Dom played our wedding and we could not be happier with the beautiful soundtrack he played for our special day. Dom learnt the song we wanted for our walk-out song, especially for us and even gave 3 Lions a go on the day by request! "What a perfect way to end the bank holiday weekend and wow what a show. I’ve never seen an entire place all joining in and having the best of times. I have tried to remember a selection of things he covered, ok here goes … Buddy Holly , Elvis , Queen, ub40 , Bob Marley , Springsteen , Billy ocean , Motown , bee gees, Elton john , Rod Stewart , Lionel Richie …. Even Rick Astley …. Plus plus many many more. I believe he was supposed to finish around 4pm but he carried on until at least 5.15pm and still everyone didn’t want it to end. Personally I have to say it would be difficult to find any fault in what we saw …. You can tell he has been performing for a long time , faultless …. just a very very entertaining afternoon. "
