Review Centre: 1950s & 60s Style Bands

"We booked this amazing band for a big birthday party in September. Their versatility and musical ability enabled all the guests to experience a variety of music including rock, soul and old and new RnB styles. They arranged covers to suit the occasion and had everybody singing along, dancing and really enjoying themselves. They played background music at first so that people could chat and moved onto more lively numbers as the evening went on. The female singer has a beautiful voice! I would highly recommend this talented group of musicians for any event. You will be enthralled and entertained and certainly not disappointed! "

We weren't the easiest client as we organised the wedding from New Zealand (where we live), and held the wedding in London. Jo was communicative, and was an absolutely delight at our wedding! "Just to say thank you very, very much for such a great performance on Saturday night! The band was brilliant and made the evening – everyone raved (and is still raving!) about the music. It really couldn’t have been better and the fact that just about everyone was on the dance floor at one point says it all! Don’t think my 40th could have been more memorable – I had a blast!"

"I just wanted to thank you and your amazing band for such a fantastic performance on Saturday. People were absolutely blown away by you and I have to admit I'm a bit annoyed I couldn't just relax and enjoy all the songs we'd chosen - I kept hearing them and thinking 'I love that one!' then someone would interrupt me! But our guests had a fantastic time dancing away to your music and people have said to me that they'll never have a party without a band again. I was particularly struck by how perfect the jazz was when I walked in, it really was exactly what I wanted and set the tone so beautifully. If we ever need a band again I will definitely be in touch! "

"The Backbeats played for our Silver Wedding Party and were excellent. They played a variety of music and provided a disco for the end of the evening. The party went with a swing for those who wanted to dance and for those who just wanted to listen to the music. This is the second time we've heard the Backbeats and we would love to hear them again."
