Review Centre: Swing Bands

"I run a venue which hosts parties and promotional events for the alcohol and beverages industry. Mozel Tov Cocktails played at our celebration of the end of Prohibition. They did a stomping set well suited the event, and even mixed in some live electro-swing which went down a storm with the clients. We liked them so much we booked them again a few months later for the Glasgow Art School Archetects graduation ball. If you like totally authentic gypsy jazz and swing as well as bit of klezmer this is your band. In a nutshell: fun, dedicated, authentic virtuosic professionals."

Their music is very mellow and easy to listen to, with Sonia’s velvet tones bringing a warmth and depth to the melody. This year, they played for us on New Year’s Eve and guests, as well as staff, really enjoyed their performance. "

"We booked Melisma Jazz at quite short notice for a garden party to celebrate our 5th Anniversary as a business. Sarah-Jane Morris was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was flexible in piecing together a quartet that suited our needs, and the atmosphere created by Sarah-Jane and her fellow musicians on the day was superb. "Fabulous - thoroughly recommend Wedding Singer & Band - we had a 1930's evening village tea party/dance just the perfect band for a 21st birthday - couldn't have been more willing to help the evening being a 'swing' of a time - lovely repertoire very accommodating with last minute requests, lots of fun and dancing - thank you."

"Following a huge achievement of winning a prestigious industry award, we arranged for a secret day of celebrations for our 100 employees at our offices. We arranged for The Ace Jazz Band to kick off the celebrations by entering our office playing the most energetic and uplifting music which was a wonderful surprise to staff who eagerly jumped up out of their seats to follow the marching band and dance their way around the office. The place was 'buzzing' everyone LOVED it. We had numerous surprises for everyone but The Ace Jazz Band was by far the highlight and what people remember the most about the day. They are fantastic. You can't help but get up on your feet and dance along. We will definitely be hiring them again for future events - we can't wait for them to play for us again! "

"The band were absolutely amazing. We couldn't have asked for anything else from them. They had our guests on the dance floor for the whole evening. If you are thinking of booking a wedding band, make sure to go for The Chandeliers, you will not regret it! They were also completely flexible with timings, and even came to set up early so they were not setting up when our guests were there. I would recommend them to everyone I know!!"
