Review Centre: Singers (Jazz)

"Jeremy Sassoon played at The Unsung Hero Awards 2018 on Friday the 23rd of February to an impressed audience. He was not only a great musician, who I had total faith in, but a very friendly and easy person to work with. He communicated with me leading up to the event and on the night itself he was prompt and set-up quickly. Jeremy played not only his two allocated sets, but extra songs when we had projector issues - it was not an issue for him! As soon as Jeremy started to play the room took on a new feel; warmer and more intimate. The MC of the night was so surprised to hear Jeremy sing that he mistook his voice for a recording - he is that professional sounding. My personal highlight of the night had to be when Jeremy was playing Hey Jude. He had the audience singling along and waving their arms in the air. He made sure to interact with the audience in a way that was personal, but not distracting. Jeremy uses his talent to make people feel at ease and doesn't overly-focus on himself - a rare quality in a person, as well as a performer. Jeremy made sure to inform us when he was leaving and I had a lovely chat with him post-performance. He thanked myself and my colleague for being equally easy to work with and gave up tips on what sorts of musical accompaniments would work well in the future. Would we hire Jeremy again? In a heartbeat. Only next time we hope to be able to have some of those musical accompaniments to enhance what was already a stellar performance, which made our event feel that little bit extra fantastic! "

"Ruth came to entertain our Garden Club following the A.G.M in December 2016. What a wonderful evening she gave us. Her repertoire of vintage songs,covering several decades, is fantastic, plus the relevant costumes which are the icing on the cake. There was much tapping of feet and fingers and singing along by all our members. Everyone had a wonderful evening. This girl is GREAT!"

His playing was every bit as wonderful as I thought he would be and more. His talented playing and gorgeous voice created a wonderfully relaxed backdrop and atmosphere at our wedding. Everyone said how much they loved his music and I am so grateful to Dan for helping to make our day so special. "

"Simply amazing! The atmosphere when Livi sang was magical, and the audience were entranced. They’re all still speaking about her. She has a charming personality, a wonderful voice and we were so lucky to find her. Livi was incredibly organised with her emails and music, and sent prompt replies. "Everyone loved the music and “song list” and we will be talking about it for a long time to come. The perfect ending to your “set” was to hear you sing the classical opera; this was absolutely fantastic. For you to sing Ann’s favourite aria, Habanara ( I can’t remember the proper title) from Carmen and to follow it up by singing with Lauretta’s aria……to me, it was incredibly emotional. O mio babbino caro is one of my very favourite aria’s and always makes me emotional but to have been totally involved in that way will be an unforgettable moment-thank you."
