Review Centre: Pianists (Pop/Rock)

"Over the Christmas period we hired Elliot for a special dinner party we were hosting at our home. It's an annual event and each year we try to do something a little different. Our evening with Elliot proved to be the best we had ever done. Elliot is a very talented singer and piano player. So first and foremost he is great to listen to and to have live music in your home is a real treat. However the thing that made this evening so special was his personality, my guests really liked him. He was able to take request after request, on the night and just play whatever we asked for. So the evening turned into a big sing along , with favourites for our guests and lots of special moments re-lived. I can't recommend Elliot enough as an all round entertainer. We have booked him again. "

"Sarah played for us at our wedding at Sandhole oak barn near Congleton. We had asked her to play while guest were arriving, during the ceremony and for a few hours during the drinks reception. Her playing was beautiful and had the emotions flowing while the bride was walking down the isle. Catered for our requests and was flexible with the venue, the venue had a grand piano that Sarah played and with the nice weather Sarah had brought her electric piano and amplifier so that guests could still enjoy the music outside. Even when the guests had gone in she carried on playing which we really liked as we were still sat out listening to her play. These first few hours are the most important of the day and she helped set the atmosphere perfectly. When we've spoke to guests they mention how lovely it was to have a live pianist there and how well she played. Thank you Sarah! "

"MacIntyre loves it when we have Nigel booked on our calendar and have experienced this lots over the past few years. Nigel is a regular at our Memory Cafe in Milton Keynes, always turning up with enthusiasm and calmness. Nigel always ensures he is inclusive. We all sing a long and love listening to the huge range of Nigel's musical talents. Since the pandemic we still work closely with Nigel via zoom , sitting back and taking in the music or at times where we all join in and have lots of fun. Lastly not forgetting that MacIntyre Families Podcast is beautifully complemented with the composition of Nigel's music as the theme tune, when asked to create this bespoke piece of music Nigel didn't disappoint and we recommend this 100% to anyone who would like some unique music , absolutely incredible! Thanks so much and cant wait to work with you again in the very near future Nigel ."

"Damien played at our wedding in France this summer. From playing piano acoustic versions of some of our favourite songs during the ceremony and cocktail reception, to nonstop bangers until 2am...Damien was flawless. An absolute pleasure to work with in the build up and on the day I was never worried even for a second, he always had everything in hand. Can't tell if he's a better DJ or Pianist because he's 10/10 at both! "

"Robert played a lovely selection of music - some of our choosing, some of his and some of the residents' requests. Most popular with the older people were his medley of war-time songs and some Frank Sinatra tunes whereas we marginally younger folk enjoyed the Beatles medley. The organ concert made a very pleasant occupation for a cold, early-winter afternoon. We would highly recommend Robert Baker for such a function and maybe next time we'll invite his wife along to come and sing with/for the residents, too. "

"We had Nigel perform at our wedding in early December 2025. He joined us for the ceremony, reception and meal, and did an absolutely fantastic job. His music really complimented the day, creating just the mood we wanted for each part. The booking process was so easy and he has a massive range of pieces he can draw upon. It was really quite special hearing what we had chosen played throughout the day. I would highly recommend for any events/weddings."

"Nigel played while our guests were seated, during the Bridal Procession, the signing, the Wedding Exit, the Confetti Shoot , the Wedding Couple Entrance and the Wedding Breakfast. It was my wife's idea to have Nigel play at our wedding and after she had the idea I thought that sounds nice and a bit different. It was great to have Nigel play at the wedding and it gave the wedding music a more personal touch than just having recorded music. This was particularly the case with the Bridal Procession when you felt you could have been in a church. Nigel was very professional and unobtrusive. We left him to pick the playlist and he played a great variety of different tunes."

"Mark J played at our wedding ceremony, drinks reception and wedding breakfast in Devon in June. He was absolutely superb! Very responsive and personable beforehand - nothing was too much trouble. He went above and beyond by liaising with the venue directly and learning a piece of music that wasn’t in his standard repertoire. The theme tune to My Neighbour Totoro is not something that is very well known in UK, but works very well on the piano and Mark J relished the opportunity to play it! He is very flexible and played in three different locations throughout the day, even setting up an electric piano outside for the drinks reception, which totally transformed the event. The music was brilliant and varied and we received lots of positive feedback from guests. I can’t recommend Mark J enough!"
