Review Centre: Guitarists

"We were recommended Kirsty via Freddie, the pub manager at the Prince Albert. He gave us a few DJs to look at so we could decide for our wedding - Kirsty's communication is excellent. We corresponded via email and then found a time to talk on the phone. My then fiancée and now wife both warmed to Kirsty instantly over the phone. She is personable, with a really good understanding of music, she understands London culture, as well as the music I grew up with (and music would have enjoyed at university), and has an appreciation for the international music we requested. Her 'do not play' list was a great feature for us too, so we could make sure there were no toe-curling moments in the night or artists who we just didn't want played. She got on very well with our guests and made everyone feel at home - she has obviously spent time honing her craft as well as understanding how people tick. "Hi Gary, just wanted to say that we had the best night out for a very long time when we saw you at Knowl Hill on Saturday. You've got a terrific voice and I loved everything you sang. You interact with the audience and I ended up with a sore throat from singing along all evening. That's the first time I've seen my husband get up and dance for years. Thanks for the Wooden Heart."

"We had the pleasure of having Vernon perform at our workplace's Black History Month Jazz Night. During the event planning process, Vernon was really prompt in his communications with us, very accommodating and flexible. He also had a great selection of songs including ones that paid homage to the rich history of jazz music and the contributions of Black artists. During his performance, he was very good at getting the audience engaged and also had a great sense of humour to bring laughter too. Overall, Vernon's performance was a brilliant celebration of Black history through the lens of jazz music. It was a night filled with appreciation for the cultural heritage of the genre. "

"Having known Mark for a couple of years as an employee, I had heard that he was a talented musician. That word "talented" is thrown around a lot these days but Mark is genuinely talented. What this man can do with a guitar is beyond mind-blowing. He captivates his audience with his beautifully written lyrics and his emotion in every song comes through in waves. I would not hesitate to book him again. This may sound biased to you... but it is my honest opinion!!!!!"

"We was lucky enough to have Billy play at our corporate event in a wine cellar for our attendees. Billy has extraordinary talent and knew exactly the type of music that would suit the venue and our event. Billy was an absolute pleasure to deal with, arrived early and was interested and had a great sense of humour. All our guests loved his playing and I would hire Billy again in a heartbeat. "

"Beautiful evening, having watched Nick play many times i didn’t hesitate to ask him to provide the entertainment for my company’s party. "Graham was absolutely brilliant! His play list was exactly as we wanted and he even learned a special song for us. He arrived promptly and set up discreetly, then performed two forty-five-minute sets for us. The volume was perfect, loud enough to enjoy the music but not so loud that conversations could continue. All of our guests thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment and happily joined in with some songs. Thank you so much Graham for helping to make our celebration a perfect occasion. "

"Found Joe via last minute musicians and it turned out to be one of the easiest and best things to arrange for our wedding! Joe’s communication from start to finish was brilliant, all very easy and made to feel unique - he played throughout our wedding breakfast and set the tone perfectly! We asked him to play what he felt was appropriate for the event, which he very much did and he even offered to learn a few songs that we wanted to have played specifically - he learnt 3 new songs for us and that were all amazing! Really nice guy, very professional, friendly and the best thing is, he’s amazing at what he does! We feel like he was a bit of a find and we have no hesitation in recommending for any wedding! We had so many comments about how good he was and it's just a shame we don’t have another event to get him back. Thanks again - Andy & Holly "

"We'd wholeheartedly recommend Alan Oliver for wedding music. Alan played a range of songs on guitar during our wedding ceremony which were really beautiful. Alan is a very talented musician and even learnt Morricone's Love Theme for our wedding. His music really added something special to the day. "
