Review Centre: 1950s & 60s Style Bands

"Below the Border delivered a fabulous set of 60s and 70s classics that saved our event from being a total washout, literally. They ended up playing in the corner of our kitchen whilst the rain poured down on the carefully prepared outside stage. They had us all transfixed and dancing within seconds despite the cramped conditions. Their good humour, enthusiasm and pure musicianship, combined with the appalling weather, made everyone watching feel like Glastonbury veterans by the end of the performance. I cannot recommend them highly enough."

"We booked these guys to play at our wedding and can honestly say we couldn't have been happier. Josh was really easy to work with and kept in touch despite being so busy. He was even kind enough to allow my grandad on stage to play for our first dance. If you can get the 4 piece then I would 100% recommend doing it as they will bring the house down. We had a full dance floor right up until the final song. Thanks again guys. "

"The Vibe were an excellent choice for my husbands 50th. They kept the dance floor jumping all night and even let John play the drums for a few songs,( he is a drummer) ! They created a great party atmosphere and I will definitely book them again!"

"We were incredibly lucky to have Victoria perform at our wedding at Frickley Lake on 4th July, and we honestly couldn't have wished for anyone better. Victoria played during our drinks reception immediately after the ceremony, while our guests mingled by the lake with a glass of bubbly in hand. It created the most magical atmosphere. "Arrived at 6pm for 8pm start set up started playing at 7.45pm my mum and dad very emotional after celebrating 50 years of married Bliss great songs from 50 years ago Cats Whiskers never let us down like previous Act tried to book them for Easter 2020 but they are prebooked I would recommend them to friends and work colleagues Pamela and Keith Roselli "

"You want good vibes, swingy jazz and a trumpet sound smooth as honey? This is your band. I watched them by chance at Ruby's, a cocktail place in Dalston and for not expecting anything this was really a revelation. I couldn't keep my feet still... They play with so much joy that it carries you straight away."

"Lucy and Jack were amazing at our wedding. Everything we could have hoped for. They were great at learning my song requests for the whole day. Very reasonably priced for the incredible service they provide. Intimate and happy atmosphere created by their beautiful voices and musical talents! Completely perfected the musical genres we wanted of modern country and pop, with couple of older songs too. For any brides out there I highly recommend Lucy and Jack, and to have live singer whilst walking down the aisle, it was one of the most memorable parts of my day."

"The band was absolutely brilliant. They covered a whole range of different genres and songs from different decades. There wasn't a moment when the dancefloor wasn't packed. All our guests at our wedding said how brilliant they were. Really high energy throughout the whole set. Kris and the band were very accommodating, friendly and professional. If they could have, they would have played for even longer!! They made the evening so much fun. Highly recommend these guys!! "
