"Tijuca Taxi entertained at my 50th birthday in our large garden. He brought all his equipment and was ready to start straight away. He was a multi-instrumentalist, and I couldn’t believe it when he got out both saxophone and flute. He played beautiful music with a professional, original backing track, I noted, and it was wonderful to have that live element. He also changed costumes half way through which we were quite surprised and amused at; I thought that this really added to the high standard of his professionalism and the variety of what he offered. He was very easy to talk to and I would definitely book him again. Even the neighbours next door asked if the music was live as it sounded so special and they wanted to come and listen."

Last weekend, my brother and I threw our parents a surprise 65th birthday party and I was super excited to have secured a booking for this auspicious occasion with the 515 crew and they most certainly didn’t disappoint!!! They arrived promptly to setup and worked within the limited space we had at our venue without any complaints. I asked Shama if the group would be able to play a handful of my dads favourite songs from the 70’s and 80’s era including Santana, Wilson Picket and James Brown and although it was material that they hadn’t done before, they took time to rehearse in the week and surprised us with their amazing delivery on the main night. My dad and guests were over the moon! I’ve had nothing but positive comments from our guests on the 515 Crew’s super professional musical ability and singing. Their Indian songs took our guests back into time and found it refreshing to hear some of the old bollywood songs with a modern and current feel. I really cannot express how delighted myself, my parents and our guests are with the 515 Crew. I dealt with Shama from the initial phone call to check on the teams availability and she’s always been a pleasure to deal with including on the night itself. I most certainly will be using them when we have another event and will be recommending them to my clients too! "We saw the band as part of the Crystal Palace Overground Festival. The band lit the space up which considering considerable contingent who were only in pub for the soccer was no mean achievement. The set was party friendly and resulted in some very pissed elegant dancing and boisterous enjoyment. The musicianship was of a very high standard and this combined with an obvious love for their material and a familiarity with each other and said material made it a stimulating, life affirming and emotional experience. The music is traditional Klezmer and includes references to balkan music and is lively picking you up and laying you low with melancholy and vigorous celebration."

"Friday 5th December – What a night! I think that at our Sunday reception, it was the talk of all the guests who had attended. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening, your band were amazing and your guest vocalist (cannot remember his name) simply knocked the audience out. His ability to sing popular Indian, Classical, Qawali and western Pop left the younger audience screaming for more. We exceeded the allotted time by 40 minutes and in all honesty, I really think we could have easily gone on for another two hours. Absolutely superb evening and one that will be remembered for many years. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you again really soon."
