Cornwall's leading steel band will liven up any event with their unique traditional Caribbean sound, you won't be able to sit still!
Kernow Steel is led and directed by Bethany, who has over 20 years of experience playing pan. She has performed in several bands in both Cornwall and London and competed at the infamous Panorama at London's Notting Hill Carnival.
Her passion is not only to play in Steel Bands but also to teach and arrange unique pieces for full Steel Bands. Her particular passion is taking modern Pop and Rock pieces and converting them into Caribbean arrangements for pan to complete a mixed and versatile set list.
The band is made up of players who cover all intricate melody, harmony and bass lines.

We try to feature a full array of styles and genres into our set list. However a few artists translate onto pan beautfully; Harry Belafonte, Bob Marley, Camila Cabello and Santana
We’ve been playing collectively over 26 years in a mixture of line ups from a full 12 piece band to trios, duos and soloists - perfect for those more intimate gigs.
We love playing at weddings immediately after the ceremony as the guests congregate with a welcome drink, canapés and photos.
Arrival 1 hour before performance, it takes 45 minutes to set up & pack down.
We’re happy to play outside but we ask for a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area. Our pans don’t do too well in wet weather, so an undercover plan b is always worth planning…just incase
We have a full set list which we are always happy to share. We are happy to learn 1 request included in the fee, but we do charge for any additional songs after this to cover arrangement, rehearsal and teaching time.
