Review Centre: Solo Musicians

"Groom here - So about 4 months before my wedding, my (now) wife returns from a wedding fair in Exeter and tells me, rather cautiously that she may or may not have booked an acoustic guitarist for a few hours to play her down the aisle, and during our reception drinks. Before I can get any words out she immediately tells me that the guy was so so nice, and really good and he even gave us a discount for booking him there and then! So really she's saved us money, because anyone else would be just as much, if not more, and again he was super good. She failed to concede that an ipod and one of the lads pushing the button would've cost us literally nothing, therefore saving every penny that she had just spent. So obviously for the next 4 months I gave her a hard time about how the cost of the wedding was spiralling out of control, and how her acoustic guitarist was the straw that broke the camels back. The big day arrives, and as you can expect I'm running around doing Grooms stuff, all our set up and whatnot was completed the day before, so no stress. Then as I'm waiting at the end of the aisle I see a guy I've never met before, with an acoustic guitar and an amp - 'ah' I think to myself, this guy better be good...And he absolutely was. For the whole time he was there Joe created a really nice atmosphere, and a lot of our guests commented on how good this guy was. We'd told him a few weeks before the wedding what song we wanted playing while the bride was walking down the aisle, and what sort of songs we wanted during the canapes. He was more than accommodating - I know he had to learn the bridal party song - which he nailed, and one or two more for the kind of stuff we asked for but he did such a good job. I only got around to speaking to him as he was packing up to go, having stayed longer than we'd agreed, and to his credit he really is a nice guy. The only bad thing that I can say is he's the reason I had to admit my wife was right on something so soon into our marriage. So for any husband to be doubting his fiance's decision, maybe giving her a hard time on pointless expenses, just stop - this guy is worth every penny and more, and you'll only end up apologising to your new missus. Thanks again Joe, we were thrilled."

"Luka was the most fantastic addition to our wedding! First of all, she has a wonderful voice which is evident and came through on the day. Secondly, she is gorgeous and so elegant and brings a very classy feel to events. In addition, she was also so professional and easy to work with. Before the event we chatted through what was required, she arrived early and set up seamlessly and provided all the information to use that we needed. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her. "We booked Stuart to play at our wedding party after getting married abroad and delighted we did. He was so professional and friendly in advance of the party and made sure he had a good idea what kind of songs we would like and how we planned the party. His song choices we excellent and many of our guests commmebted how good he was. Would highly recommend Stuart to anyone and will be looking out for him playing a venue near me so I can go along and listen again."

"Laura came to Gretna Green for our wedding and was happy to wait until our meal was finished and we were ready to start. From start to finish Laura had myself my husband and our family all up dancing. We had a small intimate wedding and Laura made it work. Laura has such a lovely personality and she just blended right in with our family and their mad carryon. Her prices and professionalism are unbeatable and I would without a shadow of a doubt use Laura for any future events. The rapport that Laura has with clients is great! 10/10 from us!"

I can’t believe how many people got up and danced, even the men!! It’s been absolutely amazing and Megan has been so wonderful in the build up to organising our evening. "Keith was our piper at our wedding at the end of April. What an absolute legend. The day was excellent and Keith played brilliantly. Such a nice guy too, chatting beforehand to keep me calm, interacting with guests, always game for a photo. The day would definitely not have been as special had Keith not been there, I'll definitely be recommending and booking Keith again in the future. "Lucy was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. We booked her for our company’s annual summer rooftop party, and she completely elevated the atmosphere from the moment she started playing. The mix of laid back lounge vibes early on and more upbeat tracks as the evening went on was perfect, and the live sax added such a unique, stylish touch that really set the event apart. She was incredibly easy to work with in the lead-up, arrived in plenty of time to set up, and was completely professional throughout. What really stood out was her ability to read the crowd and adapt. By the end of the night she had people dancing who we’ve never seen leave their seats at previous events. We had so many guests asking where we found her, and we’ll definitely be booking Lucy again for future events. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to other."
