Review Centre: 1950s & 60s Style Bands

"I booked the lads from Below the Border for my wife's 60th birthday party and they were exactly as described. Brilliant musicians one and all and they kept everyone dancing until well after midnight with popular rock hits from the 70s and that swingy blues that you just HAVE to get up and dance to (no matter how old you are!) Lovely chaps too. Polite, eductated, down to earth, and they have that dry sense of humour musicians often have. I thoroughly recommend them. And we were AMAZED at how cheap they were for such a brilliant band. I don’t think they’re playing for the money! Just incredible guitar playing. "These guys are really tight and well rehearsed as a band. Individually they all put in great performances too. As you can tell we were really pleased we chose them. We had lots of comments from our guests asking where we found the band and had sore feet from dancing at the end of the night. If you like soul and soulful music, this is the band you want."

"Enigma played at my recent 50th birthday party at Audleys Wood Hotel – from start to finish, they were absolutely brilliant!! I have always loved The Police – and they learnt a song for me that was not on their playlist – Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic – can honestly say that this made my night! Furthermore, the theme of my party was Think Pink – in lieu of presents, I requested guests made donations to charity – and had to wear pink! The band went above and beyond in also joining in and wearing my colour choice – again, how very thoughtful and more than I could have asked for! I would not hesitate to recommend this band to anyone, for any occasion – their music is brilliant, varied and sung with feeling! I know they will make any occasion a floor filler!! Tracy"

"Global Grooves were superb from start to finish, getting everyone up dancing and playing reggae and classic songs all the way through their set catering for all ages. They’re a talented band and very professional, I spoke to their manager prior to the wedding and we went through everything together on the phone to make sure we were getting the set we wanted, it’s the little things that can make all the difference. I highly recommend this band for any event. "
