"'Swing Gitan UK joined the Nottingham Jazz Orchestra on the bill of the Christmas Jazz Fest last weekend. Having seen Swing Gitan a number of times, I have always been massively impressed with the musical and technical ability of all members of the band. Their music would sound at home on the streets or riverbank walkways of Paris, but we were lucky enough for them to join us for a unique lineup of bands. Within just a few bars of their first number, (insert what you played first here, I can't remember, sorry lol), it is clear to all that Elliott Lewis and Wayne Jefferies, who take the positions as guitarists within the band, are masters of their instruments and faithfully re-create the music of Django Reinhardt, but adding their own style to numbers such as Minor Swing, Blue Bossa, and Undecided. Joined by bassist Rob Coates and James Tolhurst completing the lineup, their enthusiasm is infectious and the music always driving. If you ever get the chance to catch these guys doing a set, you will not be disappointed!' "

As I said last night we had lots of compliments and comments that were re-iterated at the brunch this morning - how good you were, how you got the level of sound correct and how nice Cath's voice was. "We hired the Honky Tonk Hardies for our wedding and we really could have asked for a better band or performance. The band were all top guys and it was a pleasure having them at our wedding. Every single person commented on how much they enjoyed the band young to old which was great. Me and my wife are big music heads and have seen countless bands live but these guys really knew how to play and put on a good show. Very impressed would pay to see them playing live again absolutely top notch! Wooooooo!!!"

"Could not recommend Unwritten Duo enough! Jo and James performed for 2 consecutive days at our wedding at Château Challain and they were absolutely brilliant each time! Their vocals and guitar playing are fantastic and they sing such a great range of songs. All of our guests commented how much they loved their singing and they are also truly lovely people! After their performance on the Saturday cocktail hour they even ended up being welcomed into our party and they joined the dance floor! Thank you both so much, you made our wedding unforgettable!"

"We were looking for a band with a repertoire of jump jive and swing music for our wedding reception and found One Jump Ahead. The band did such a great job, they had such great energy, and our guests loved dancing to their music. There was good variety of songs so that our non-swing dancing guests could show of their moves too! We loved the first dance and really appreciate the band learning the song for us, we hope they will continue to play it in their future gigs. We had very good communication with Kit in the run up to the wedding and the band were able to set up by themselves which made things run smoothly for us, and were very flexible and relaxed on the night. We'll be recommending you to our family and friends for future events!"

Thanks Sherri! It was a really great reception, made all the better by the lovely sunny weather we had. It was excellent that many of your guests were swing dancers - we always like to play for them! (It's still a pleasure playing for other dancers, too, of course - or even those who prefer just to listen!) We enjoyed learning your request and will be very likely include it in our sets at future wedding receptions. "We booked the band for our wedding and both their performance and professionalism was absolutely outstanding. Fifa was very easy to deal with and she and her band are extremely talented musicians. Their jazzy style was perfect for the vibe we were trying to create and whether they were playing the classics, or contemporary songs in a jazz style they got everyone up and dancing. Our guests have been raving about how great they were and we couldn't have been happier to have booked them."
