Review Centre: Cabaret Bands

"We heard Full Beans perform at Oxjam in late 2015 and decided on the spot that we wanted them at our wedding reception. Their performance on the day was just perfect with a combination of classic gypsy jazz tunes and innovative arrangements of old classics. They were really organised and were spot on with communicating with us about the big day putting our minds at ease. We could not recommend these guys (and gals) enough!"

"You and the band were superb - especially given the massive delay before you were able to perform, and the fact that we forgot to bring the interval playlist(s)! Our guests were extremely complimentary and said they really enjoyed the band and the dancing. So thank you - and thank you for making it all so easy for us too. "Fi has, rightly, a greatly praised voice, and this worked a treat in that environment. She possesses excellent technique & frequently went for complex lines and pulled them all off with aplomb. She has equally good dynamic sensibilities and used shifts of these with discretion for extra effect. Alex's playing mirrored this: skilled yet tasteful with generally chorded accompaniment when Fi was singing and when it came to his solos, the runs, though often improvised, served the song, not his ego. They have an empathetic understanding I think: not just in the interplay between voice & piano but also in their several duets & this was another element in the playfulness"

"Joanna appeared in a West End charity concert I produced at The Hippodrome Casino in London's West End in June 2015 - and was wonderful! It was great to work with her. She was very professional and enthusiastic on the day. Her number went extremely well and the audience loved her. I can't wait to work with Joanna again!"

"Andrew and I wanted to thank you so much for such a fantastic performance at all wedding on Friday. We knew that you were going to be good when we saw you at the RAC club with my parents. However you went above and beyond our expectations and did everything we wanted and more. Thank you so much for learning our requests. As I said you off to the party was over, at my age (!?) I have attended a lot of weddings in the last few years, and usually when the speeches are over and the band comes on it is an anticlimax, but with the Co Stars the opposite was the case and you had the dance floor full from the word go up until midnight. Not sure how you keep up your energy level in that kind of heat? Again thank you so much for coming out to Majorca and making all special day extra special” "

"We hired Tom for our clients wedding. Communication was key to him and all emails send leading up to and after the wedding had been clearly laid across. On the day he arrived a lot earlier than required, plugged his kit in and was ready to play. The setup was neat and tidy and his music knowledge was fantastic! He interacted with the guests and got them involved in his set with plenty of dancing. Since the wedding we have booked Tom for over 50 events and each one he’s been absolutely brilliant! Our clients love him, we love him and he will continue to be our preferred musician for years to come. Being in charge of wedding planning for a company myself I honestly wouldn’t recommend him if I wasn’t sure he’d impress every single person reading this review! "
