Review Centre: 1920s, 30s & 40s Style Bands

"We booked Swing Your Soul for our Eurotunnel staff event to celebrate our 25th birthday with the theme “Si français”, the brief was to lay on something special and boy did they deliver! Right from the kick-off, the dance floor was full; we had never seen anything like it! Their mix of genres meant that there was something for everyone and we had fantastic feedback from our staff and their friends/family who attended the event. They created a fabulous atmosphere and helped to make it a truly memorable evening which we will be talking about for the next 25 years! We would recommend them with no hesitation and will definitely be looking for an excuse to book them for our next event."

"Soli Strings were absolutely perfect. They opened our wedding ceremony and accompanied it and our reception with the most beautiful music. As soon as they started playing the atmosphere was suddenly magical and they made it all seem effortless. On top of that they are wonderful people, we had people commenting all day on how nice they were and how well they played! Somehow they sound even better in person than their recordings. It was genuinely breathtaking on the day and they managed to fill an outdoor space with music easily. They performed two 45 minute sets and would absolutely recommend that as it flew by, we certainly wouldn't have wanted less! Thank you Soli Strings!"

"Phenomenal! We love alternative versions of songs and something different to have for our cocktail reception and these glamorous ladies where just AMAZING! The set they did was fresh and entertaining but also familiar for all age groups. We loved their vibe and they were really easy to work with throughout!"

" Jan and Jan came to play , piano and sax in our garden for a birthday party . They set the scene beautifully and were the perfect combination for a relaxed and sunny lunch party. They were easy to contact, straigtforward to book and pay . They arrived in good time, were very friendly , set up and started playing a great variety of gentle jazz classics which provided just the right atmosphere as our friends arrived and while we chatted and ate lunch. WeI would highly recommend them. "

"The wonderful Jellyroll Jazz Band played at my husband's 60th birthday party which took place in our garden on a fabulous Saturday afternoon. We set them up under the gazebo and they absolutely made the day. My husband was unaware there was going to be a band until the three young men appeared. We loved the diversity of the music they played; I bought one of their cds afterwards which has been heard many times since in our garden. They played for 3 hours with 2 breaks and were well worth their fee. They are very gifted musicians, as well as being lovely young men, who made the party go with a swing and I would definitely book them for our next event as long as they play the Star Wars song for me again! "It was a pleasure to welcome singer Ruby to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. She treated staff, patients and their families to a musical treat in the main hospital atrium singing a range of classics from the 1940s, ‘50s and ‘60s. Ruby performed for an hour and attracted people from all over the hospital to come and watch. She has great charisma and her interaction with those who watched was lovely and it was good to see the smiles on people's faces who passed by. If you want a fabulous voice and an amazing presence then Ruby is your lady!"

"What a fabulous event we had for the 80th V.E. Day. The Lahdidahs were brilliant, leading the old time favourite songs and even leading and teaching The Palais Glide to the audience, finishing with the usual favourites songs from the 40s. All 3 ladies of the Lahdidahs had plenty of energy and fun. I would definitely recommend the group to anyone who would be guaranteed a wonderful event. "

"Cannot recommend Sarah and Co enough, they were fantastic! Before the wedding the communication was great and all of the legal bits were handled quickly and professionally by Sarah directly with our venue. The song list covered all of the classics so everyone enjoyed the music from grandparents to grandkids. Made our day really special, would highly recommend Emily&Sean"
