Review Centre: Reggae / Ska Bands

"Our party took place on a horrendous cold windy and rainy day; but, you wouldn't have guessed it! Steelosophical (duo with DJ services) bought the Carribean weather to the party and was all the guests talked about even 2 weeks after the party. The band were professional, and surprised me with their range of songs ( there was something for all ages and cultures) and their talent with one of the members taking a turn on the mic. They arrived early to set up so the guests were played to on arrival. The hotel in fact were late with the reception drinks which didn't matter as everyone was so transfixed with the band. Gary is a pleasure to deal with and happily used his experience of events to judge the mood of the event and play music accordingly. My mother always has to complain about something and she was full of praise for the band and the party as a result of the band. Result!! I would rate them 11/10 and would highly recommend them."

"We booked Vernon for our wedding on the 24th April 2015 and he really was fantastic, we had pre arranged what music he was going to do off his playlist. We corresponded by email and had no problems with contacting him and he arrived on time for our evening reception, he set up and played straight through until about 10. We found his own music very good especially his song (see that girl) he made the evening fun and got us up dancing, our guests loved him and enjoyed his music, Vernon is a friendly talented musician and we would book him again or recommend him for a wedding or party. "Unwritten Duo performed at our wedding at The Granary Wedding Barn in March, she showed up smartly dressed and on time. She was booked to sing our first dance song and perform for 45 mintutes afterwards before the DJ took over. She sang Loving You by Minnie Riperton while we shared our first dance and it sounded absolutely incredible. She has such a stunning voice, so much better than we expected. We were all mesmerised by her throughout and thoroughly enjoyed her set. I wasn't sure what songs to pick but she chose a nice variety of tracks which everyone enjoyed. She sang for over an hour because we enjoyed it so much but she didn't mind at all and didn't try to charge any extra. Several friends of mine have booked her for their upcoming weddings/parties too. I highly recommend Joanne, she is Superb artist!"

"Motown Memories was absolutely amazing. I knew they would be good from the videos, but they absolutely knocked it out of the park. The dance floor was packed all night and everyone has been talking about how good they were ever since. Unbelievable talent aside (I truly mean it- unbelievable!) They were just wicked to deal with from start to finish, true professionals but totally personable and everything you could want! Ione is a dream vocalist, and the guys are fab. Top-tier music selections and medleys. The DJ set/request hour was wicked too and music in between. They vibed off the crowd and the crowd, them! If you are reading this ... Take it as a sign to book them! You won't regret it. 10/10 impressive, I couldn't have asked for more. We love you guys! Xx"

"Shaun gave us a Great end to our wedding day. He really Impressed all of our guests with his singing and was a really nice guy who communicated well with our DJ and hotel so well. Guests from another wedding were crashing ours because it was so good. Just got on with the job and good to talk to. Can't wait till we book him again for a family party! Who doesn't like UB40 and reggae?! This is the guy you want to book."

"Hi Shaun - just wanted to say a massive thank you for performing at our daughters wedding on Saturday 25th July 2015. You was brilliant and absolutely went down a storm. Our son in law is a massive UB40 fan so he was delighted with your act. Everyone commented on how great your two sets were and how fantastic your voice was !! thank you also for letting the groom take the mike to sing his rendition of Kingston Town lol !! great audience participation and certainly a performance that has left a lasting impression on our wedding guests. Keep doing your thing with so much passion and any one who books you in the future will not be disappointed xx Many thanks again for truly making our daughters wedding one to remember. You can spend all the money in the world on weddings but you have to have great entertainment in the evening with an amazing crowd to have a great wedding.
