"When my husband and I celebrated our 50th birthdays we wanted a cool and sophisticated party, so we planned a summer party in a marquee in the garden. Joel and Ben created the perfect atmosphere playing their soulful jazz. Everyone thought they were amazing! I would thoroughly recommend them."

"Fantastic. Can't remember the last time I had so much fun, and actually danced all night! 106 Miles to Chicago are a brilliant act and get the whole audience involved and up on their feet. Visually and audibly superb - If you're looking for a full on night of non-stop entertainment, these guys are just the ticket. "

"Lucy performed everything from our ceremony music to the evening and it was absolutely incredible and loved by all! Any request was never too much to do and her personal music we loved! "Hi Andy, I wanted to say a huge thank you to you and the guys for an amazing night on saturday at Hamble River Sailing Club. You were extremely professional, both in the run up to our event and on the evening. Thank you for embracing our crazy theme (dress as a John) - the way you interacted with the crowd was really personal and went a long way towards creating such a brilliant and fun atmosphere. I can safely say that a good time was had by all and lots of our friends have remarked that you guys helped make the night. "To anyone who wants their party to go with a bang! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Funk N’ Soul excelled themselves at my birthday party last Saturday – they really made the evening for me. What was really brilliant about this band was that they had learned some of my old favourite songs specially for the evening and they brought the house down! They are all full time professional and very accomplished singers and musicians and really lovely, friendly folk too! It would seem that nothing is too much for them – they even played along with my youngest daughter who played Happy Birthday on her trumpet for me! They also looked like they were all having fun performing and the vibe in the marquee was so upbeat that no-one cared about the torrential rain outside! I would recommend them to anyone who wants to have a fantastic time! Thanks again guys for making my day! Love Sally"

"All my friends and family that attended my 30th birthday thought the band sounded and looked fabulous. By the end of the night everyone was up dancing which looked fab as we were all dressed in 1920's attire with the band selecting songs inline with our theme."

"I first stumbled across Dave one afternoon while walking through Dean Village in Edinburgh. I heard music drifting from under the Dean Bridge and was instantly drawn to it. There he was, playing and singing with such warmth and soul that I stood in awe for quite some time. I took his card that day, never knowing how beautifully our paths would cross again. When my now-husband proposed and we began planning our wedding in Loch Lomond, we knew we wanted Dave to be part of it. He played during our champagne reception, joined by a saxophonist, and created the most magical atmosphere. His infectious smile and genuine warmth shone through his music, captivating not only us but all of our guests. Everyone loved him as much as we did! We’ll treasure those memories forever and know we’ll be inviting him again for future celebrations. Thank you, Dave, for sharing your incredible gift with us."

"H&R acoustics played at our wedding and they were great. They play a wide repertoire of songs, including jazz, soul and Latin music, both ballads and more uptempo numbers. Highly professional duo and there was fantastic feedback from the guests. They are also very easy to deal with, which made our wedding preparations that bit easier. We’d definitely book H&R again! "
