"We hired Mick to come and play for us on NYE, from the off the communication was great and his fee was very competitive. Mick travelled from Liverpool to see us in Lancaster and made the night, playing 2 hours guitar music and then had the room up and dancing with his DJ set. Outside of his professional and friendly attitude, he was also great with the customers, including some very demanding ones ! (Sorry Micky) this just showed even more his personality and people skills. We’ve already asked him back for the summer ! "

"Lancs Ranger performed at our monthly meeting of D-CaFF (a lovely place to meet for people living with dementia, their carers, family and friends) in November of this year. Singing a range of songs from an era that suited the audience, he had everyone singing along and commenting on what a fabulous voice he had. Whilst he could be heard at the back of the room, he sang in such a beautiful tone that at times, there was a hush around the room. Lancs Ranger will be welcomed back by popular demand. Thank you!"

Frequently asked questions

Most solo musicians are self-contained and provide their own equipment which is suitable for typical situations. Even though the act generally plays acoustically, if your event is to be held in a large venue, or you have more than 300 guests, we recommend that additional sound equipment should be used. Always ask your musicians about their sound system requirements.
Each event is different but the typical performance time for solo musicians is 2 x 45 minutes sets within a 2 hours period. Some acts are happy to play longer sets or additional sets. Often, breaks can be negotiated but you should be aware that the price may increase if the musicians need to be onsite for a longer period of time.
You should always check whether or not your act is prepared to play outdoors. Weather conditions such as wind, rain, or extreme temperatures can affect the performance and the instruments. If you are planning an outdoor event you should be prepared to offer a flat surface for performers as well as a cover in case of unexpected rain.
Booking solo musicians as early as possible increases the chance of securing their availability on your event date, particularly during busy times of the year. However, many acts also accept last minute bookings, and we have successfully arranged performances for clients with just a few hours' notice.
