Yes we are completely self-contained. We have a full range PA system that is used on all gigs and provide lighting for stage and dance floor area.
We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment. We’d also need to be informed if there’s a sound limiter in the venue and what the limits are/whether unit can be disabled once everyone is happy with db readings.
Yes, we’re happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between our sets. We’re happy to choose the music ourselves or let the client choose the music.
As a band, we have performed at over 600 events.
As a band, we are heavily influenced by lots of different styles of music. We all agree that Rock is mutual ground for how we perform and shape the sound of the band.
This would cover bands such as Led Zeppelin and AC/DC for the epic vocal performance. Oasis and Stereophonics for the anthemic songs. Blink 182 and Green Day for the great upbeat tracks that make a crowd bounce. There are also other great alternative bands such Royal Blood, Queens of the Stone Age, The Clash and the Ramones that also get stirred into our melting pot!
Outside of Rock, we are envious of the pop greats such as Michael Jackson, Tina Turner, Stevie Wonder and Adele to name a few artists that we cover regularly.
One of our biggest successes is our 90s Dance music set, which has been so popular on dancefloors over the years, that we recorded a live promo of a selection of songs (see our profile!)
The band formed at BIMM London (music university) back in 2005. Originally, the band focussed on more 'alternative' songs for sets (heavily featuring Black Crowes, Aerosmith, The Smiths, Manic Street Preachers, The Cure etc). Although they were songs welcomed by crowds (and we still play all of these songs!), we found that the band was more than capable of playing much more challening songs from Classic Rock and 80s Pop eras, and proved just as popular once we started getting booked for weddings. Since then, we have performed at hundreds of weddings and events nationally and beyond.
All band members have plenty of gigging experiences performing in the UK and abroad, through touring with artists, tribute acts and theatre shows.
We enjoy performing at all events! We are heavily favoured for weddings that require an more alternative twist to the set list. We enjoy fulfilling our client's requests and ensuring everyone is have a great time on the dancefloor jumping around and pulling the best shapes that only a father of the bride can pull off!
For more traditional song choices, we have been booked with a bigger band lineup that includes keys and saxophone, which is fantastic for corpoarte events.
We usually arrive two hours prior to performance time to set up , sound check, get changed and get pumped! Our usual arrival time for this would be between 5-6pm, depending on logistics of an event (ie if wedding breakfast is in the same room as the band's setup).
We usually perform 2 x 1 hour sets or 2 x 45 minute sets. We can provide shorter or longer performance times as well.
Ideally we finish performing no later 11-11:15pm, and will put on background music for the end of the event.
Yes we are! Our main PA system is more than suitable for outdoor use due to its full range (includes sub woofers). We also have a smaller battery powered system we can use for drinks receptions too.
For outdoor performances, we require shelter over the whole performance area, on a flat level surface and power supply that is close and safe to use, should the weather have other ideas!
We allow all our clients to give us some direction for the how the set list should go. This may be to select particular genres of music, decades, artists etc We also allow some individual choices of songs to be played (or not to be played!).
Our previous clients have described our performances as the highlight of the day, evident by packed dancefloors singing along to songs and dancing the night away. Our professionalism and experience as a band ensures that we leave our crowds with a night to remember. Our flexibility in our set lists have provided the soundtracks to memorial events, and our testimonials reflect this.
