I’m Ingrid Magee, a classically trained professional vocalist with over 20 years’ experience performing as a lead singer in the UK and internationally.

Over the years, I’ve been incredibly lucky to sing all over the world and across many different styles of music. That experience means I can turn my voice to everything from classical and Celtic music to rock, vintage, cinematic, sacred and contemporary songs.

But at this stage in my career, I’m focusing on the side of my voice — and my personality — that feels the most powerful and authentic to me: the alternative side.

I understand what it feels like to be a little different. To love things that are outside the mainstream. To look at the traditional choices and think, “That just isn’t me.”

And I understand couples who feel the same way.

Your wedding music doesn’t have to sound like everybody else’s. Whether your world is ethereal and Celtic, dark and gothic, fantasy-inspired, vintage and retro, rock, cinematic, or something that doesn’t fit neatly into any category at all, I love finding a way to bring that personality into the music.

One of my favourite things is taking a song you would never expect to hear at a wedding and completely reimagining it — perhaps turning a rock song into something haunting and ethereal, giving a familiar piece a cinematic feel, or creating an atmosphere that feels completely unique to you.

After years of performing professionally, I can create music in many different styles. But what excites me most now is creating something new, different and unexpected.
