I need a performance space of about 2.5meters width x 1.5meters depth. I require 2 power sockets and one parking space.
Yes. I am completely self-contained. I have my own electric piano, PA system, drum machine (if required) and simple light set-up.
I need to know directions to the venue, exact timings, and where to park for unloading equipment.
Yes. I am happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between my sets. I can choose the playlist but am happy for the client to choose too.
I recently played for DRPG at their studios near Kidderminster. It was their 45th anniversary and I performed with another singer from the US in front of thousands of their clients from all over the world. It was being recorded to go onto their website so high pressure. The sound was fabulous.
When I was much younger I had the privilege of playing for princess Diana which was televised on the national news.
I also sometimes play for A list celebrities as I have a residency at Coworth Park Hotel near Ascot which is near various film studios.
I have been influenced by many of the great female singers like Nina Simone, Adele, Amy Winehouse, Karen Carpenter, but also by pianists/singers like Carole King ,Alicia Keyes and Norah Jones plus the males - Freddie Mercury , Elton John and Billy Joel.
I graduated from The Guildhall School of music and drama and began playing as a solo pianist in hotels and bars. I then formed a duo with a female singer and sang harmony and accompanied her in local gigs. When she had a baby I decided to take the reigns and become a solo act. I have never looked back.
I love to play at all types of celebration - weddings, birthdays, anniversaries...the more people the better! As the song goes - 'I love a party with a happy atmosphere' - that's when I am in my element. Seeing everyone enjoying themselves.
I normally arrive about an hour before my bit of the event starts. I am happy to arrive earlier if setting up would be disruptive with guests already in the room.
I am happy to perform outside so long as there is shade is needed, a flat surface and a nearby power supply.
I am always happy for the client to go through my large set list and pick any songs they want. I am also glad to give them advice about which songs work best for specific moments.
Previous customers would describe me as very friendly, energetic and great at getting everyone to have a good time.
